-first time at the place.
-meter parking
-the door people were not to welcoming. we stood in front of them for about a minute. not too long, but there was nobody else at the door. i guess it was a prestige thing.
-most of the floor space is taken for the tables. it felt like in some large Italian dining room. all these groups of people were at their own tables and you might feel as you are the only tree in the desert.
-the back bar is only saver.
-there are few bartenders but only one actually moves. he got the tips!!
-the girl bartender is quite slow and not really responsive. she got less tips!!
-after everyone had finished up their meals, we noticed as the people begun to move closer to the dance floor.
-they have good down tempo housy music.
-ohh, the place is unique and is outside. so you get to dance under the moon.
-if i go there again, it will be after 12am.
- Pros: Location, parking, settings
- Cons: slow bartender, slow door man
Best Restaurant in Miami
by Lbmerlino
I dined at Grass Restaurant with my girlfriends a few months ago and it was AMAZING!!! Everything from the drinks to the desserts was top notch. The service was fantastic as well, and the male staff were H.O.T. hot, hot, hot!!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's the perfect place for a date, or for a fun night out with friends. You won't be disappointed!
- Pros: everything
- Cons: nothing

After being away from Miami for several years it is nice to find that there are still special places to dine like The Grass.
Mother Nature would approve of this earthy Design District oasis where upscale eats are served, surrounded by botanical bliss.

In Short
Going out to eat can be taken literally at this open-air eatery where diners feast under thatched huts. The foliage is lush. Even the lighting has a floral bent, with illuminated apothecary jars housing colorful Polynesian flowers. The menu offers everything from a vegan-friendly tart stuffed with grilled peppers and zucchini squash to dishes like ceviche and Kobe beef. The dining room may be surrounded by grass, but it's the patrons that are mowing down.
