We loved it. One of the best so far.

We had a great time at Table 8. Everyone there was friendly and efficient. The wine list contained amazing selections and the sommelier was very helpful in choosing our wine for the evening. The appetizers made it to the table pretty fast. We tried the tuna and the foie. Both exquisite. We then had to wait a bit longer for the entrees but it was worth it. I had the lamb (as our waiter described and highly recommended) and my wife had the beef. We really enjoyed them both. The music could have been better and a bit louder but the whole experience was great. Our waiter was friendly and always had a good answer for all of our questions. Oh! , and he informed us about the gratuity being included. That was nice. I appreciated it. The place is beautiful and also the people. I recommend it.
- Pros: great food and service plus amazing location
- Cons: Music... not too bad but should get better.
Sooo much better than Prime 112!!!

This restaurant is great! We had reserved our table outside and got it right on time. That night was a little cold and they placed a heater next to us that made us feel like home. For my surprise, our waitress spoke three languages and she could guide my two italian colleagues through the whole dinner. She had obviously done some good training because she described each dish as if she knew how to cook it! We finally let the apps decision in her hands and we loved everything she got us. The bluefin tuna was fantastic, as it was the burrata (according to my italian friends "the highest quality"), also the quail and the calamari were totally original and full of flavor. We had beef, lamb, duck and pork for our entrees. They were all exceptional.... Desserts didn't impress us at all but coffee was good and the waitress stole our hearts. They have a very cool lounge and enough room for private parties. I will definitely be coming back with a lot more people. Don't miss this restaurant!
- Pros: Absolutely everything!
- Cons: I didn't know about the porterhouse but now I do
Hot, HOt, HOT

I didn't read the reviews here until my wife and I had already visited the restaurant 2 times. I was surprised to see all of the negative press. We absolutely love everything about the restaurant...the food, coffees, tee, sweets, decor and service are all top notch. A little expensive but who cares!!!
- Pros: nice people at front desk
- Cons: not very romantic
Mediocre food....Incredibly Disappointing!!!

I ate at this new "hot spot" last weekend for my b-day dinner. I was fored to wait at the bar even though there were many tables open! I think there are many restaurants in the immediate proximity that serve better food and has better services. Ordered the tuna tartar with hearts of palm and the calamaries for appetitizers. Both were better than the entrees. Lamb and baby chicken. lamb had no flavor and chicken was too salty. Save your money and go somewhere else.
- Pros: great location
- Cons: too expensive, bad food
nothing special

i think that this place is too expensive and the food is just ok!. the server was too pushy and she told us that the food was fantastic when it wasn t. The menu was very small, and not very well presented. The server over decribed the dishes and they were not as good as she said. Tuna; ok, pompano; not ok, sweetbreds, mmmm, average, chicken; too salty. i hope that the owners can understand that miami is very different from LA. We need more. Ahhh....the music was just horrible. i saw an article on the internet saying that paul oakenfold was the one who designed the music for the hotel ans restaurant and that s why i took my girlfriend there thinking that that place was very cool but i found out that this place was very cold, A/C to high. In LA must be very popular but here it won t if they don t get the idea of what miami is. I personally did not like it.
- Pros: cocktail waitresess
- Cons: food not good
not recommended.....

I went to Table 8 with my family that were visiting from Colombia. The hostesses did not speak spanish, in Miami; how is that possible?
I was sent to the bar, almost an obligation to go spend money there. From there, I finally got the table. The server did speak spanish, but he wouldnt try hard enough. I felt very uncomfortable because my family did not understand anything from the menu. i think he was from Hawaii.
The food... Too expensive for what I got. Oak lettuce salad, not worth it! Pompano was too fishy, and the pork was very dry and flavourless. This place is totally overrated and Im not coming back. Ill go back to Prime 112.
- Pros: None. Bad everything!!
- Cons: All Bad!!!
Just what the Beach Needs!!!

Finally a world class restaurant at the beach. And it's not over the top, not too formal, just amazing food in a killer environment. The service was just beyond! I generally avoid specialty drink menus, but when I saw what the guy next to me was having I had to try the Basil 8....took a few minutes to make, but when you see what goes into it, you understand why!
No attitude from anyone, truly SERVICE oriented (take a lesson South Beach). As long as they dont let it get to their heads or slack off, this will be a one of a kind in South Beach.
The design is beautiful, the wine room amazing, really just a flawless evening. Locals will know what I mean after they try it, there simply is nothing like it in South Beach.
Keep it up Table 8 and you will be THE spot.
- Pros: Food, service, ambiance, music, easy parking
- Cons: gonna be tough to get a rez in another month!
worth the wait!!

finally table 8 is open. we have been waiting for this place to open forever! amazing food, great atmosphere, and the staff totally break the mould of the typical south beach service - they are engaging, knowledgable about the menu and very friendly (even the hostesses don't have an attitude!!!) we had some outragous cocktails at the bar with fresh grapes and basil (basil 8?) and a watermelon & jalapeno drink. sweetbreads with real black truffles were heavenly and the pompano was perfect. i was dissapointed that the porterhouse was not on the menu though (apparantly you have to call ahead?) - i even got to meet the chef, - he's as hot as his food!
- Pros: food,service,ambiance
- Cons: valet was not working when i went - although told it would be running by the 23rd
