User Reviews for Duo

Duo is now out of business. Too bad because the ownership was welcoming with good but expensive food. Went by today to check out the new ownership. VERY COLD to Non-SPANISH clientele. Forget about having a good time because they want to turn me away in favor of spanish speakers, eg. menu mostly in Spanish. This is a branch of the Lincoln Road establishment that welcomes everyone. What the heck is happinging ot Brickell.

I'm sure Duo does not need another great review. It's still the best and most innovative in the city. Lunch, dinner, drinks, - it's all great. I don't think Duo can serve a bad dish. I have never been disappointed and I recommend it to everyone who comes to Miami. The presentation is unique. The food is divine. The service is very good. This is a must go.

Pros: Food wine ambiance

I took my mom there for lunch. The menu was super and the service was perfect. The lunch prices were totally reasonable AND a mind-altering delicious dessert was included! The portions were just perfect. I needed a special place to take my mother and this was just spectacular. Besides amazing wines at very fair prices. I really can't say enough kind words about the service and cuisine.

Great service, a relaxed dining pace, excellent wine list, flavorful combinations, and a soothing interior design. Wow! Duo is one of those places in Miami that manages to strike all the high notes while avoiding the pitfalls of many other restaurants. The staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful without being overbearing. The prices are reasonable. The food is great. A wonderful dining experience!

Pros: Flavor, Service, Price

We had our company party at Duo. We were very pleased with the party. The food was excellent, the wine selection outstanding and the service was terrific and accommodating. The staff could not have been nicer. Many of our guests commented on how much they loved the food and the restaurant generally. Congratulations!

Pros: Food, wine and service

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time on Saturday night and loved it! When you hear of a place with so much hype you think that there is no way the restaurant can live up to it. I loved this restaurant. I was so excited to try Duo's food and this DID NOT disappoint. The atmosphere is nice and the place itself is beautiful. The wine list is massive, but our attentive, friendly waiter helped us pick a fabulous zin. My boyfriend had the short ribs and was amazed! Would totally recommend. Great food, great service, great date night.

Pros: Short ribs, appetizers at the bar, wines

I've been here many times now even though I live in Orlando. I had some friends coming in from Chicago last month, and wanted to take them to a good "Miami Restaurant". The restaurant looks modern, bright and spacious. Service is professional. Everything we ordered, from the fresh soup, to the salads, to the fish - was superb. The chefs clearly take a page from the legendary Chez Panisse, using fresh, local ingredients in their preparation that make the dishes really stand out. The deserts are great! A good choice for either romantic or large groups.

Pros: Food and wine

They still looking for an identity. French, American, Italian, Argentinian ????? Don't try the sampler menu...to little....to expensive. If you have litres and litres of wine doesn't mean that you know about it. I don't know who's the chefs are but I recommend them to buy the " Michele Berstein " ( Michy's ) book that's the original idea of what DUO is trying to achieve.

We were in last night for dinner. Actually the first couple to come in at 6:30. It was my 2nd trip to this restaurant. We live on Brickell Key and in Colorado and come quite often to Miami. I just wanted to say how much we enjoy this restaurant, the ambiance, the people and of course, the food. I've never had anything like your churrasco before- didn't even know what it was; it was the nicest piece of steak I have ever eaten, even better than Prime 112. My wife had the chicken that was delightful too. When we came in, we joked with a young lady about getting a table, as we were the first one's there, but did not know she was the chef/owner. -You're very good! Every restaurant boasts how good it is, how good the chef is, blah, blah, blah. This one deliver on all points. Thanks for a great dining experience, and see you again.

Pros: The experience

This restaurant, soooo lived up to everything I read on the internet. Lovely décor, ambiance was wonderful. Nice details and the bar and the drinks are an awesome end to the day. We now eat at Duo twice a week, since the food is so good. Be sure to ask the sommelier Charlie for wine recommendations though since the list grows weekly!

Pros: Best food in Miami, great wine list
