Novecento at Santo

This Lincoln Road eatery features modern American cuisine, but late at night, it transforms into a pulsating club.

Amateur night in the kitchen at this supposed hot spot; the tenderloin should never have been served with the sauce and the rest was average at best... and when we complained about it, no one ever came to talk to us about the issue . Not the chef or the manager, or anyone. The table next to us complained and the chef came out to them which leads me to believe they were a bit more verbose.. oh yeah, and we ordered one of the most expensive bottles of wine on the menu and the waiter just poured... no taste... and walked away (for the record, he was nice, so probably poor training or he was new and just had no clue). We're quite upset obviously... but we're also being kind. Bad experience.

  • Pros: Appetizer
  • Cons: Most everything else

I was very very dissapointed at this club after all I heard was positive things about it. To start I definetly thing that all the staff here need to learn what customer service is. Including by the so called General Manager! I bring my people from Chicago to have a great time and had reserved a table for 15 people ofcourse buying 3 bottles of vodka $300.00 cost of each. Meaning we were going to spent $900.00 in the bottle service. When we arrive the people infront were rude from the get go. I introduce myself and the woman at the door told me I had to go wait by the bar cause the main floor was closed. Something they didnt tell me when I talked to them on the phone. Then we go to the bar and spent some money on drinks and the bartender was rude and didn't even smile. I dont care how good you look you are representing an establishment and customer service its a plus.

To make a long story short they wanted to sit us in two stool tables where all my party didnt fit. So we I asked politely if they can switch us to a small private room. The manager flat out told me NO! that space was paid for in advanced. So I told him I payed in advanced as well! He then told me well if you dont like it then take your credit card, cash, and people and go else where! I just told him so my money doesn't count I see. So we I took my people and went esle where! Very dissapointed cause it was the day of my bday and we had made plans for months.

Definelty, I NO NO! there are much better places to hang around in SouthBeach. I will never give them business nor will tell anyone to waste time in there.

  • Pros: Nothing
  • Cons: Service

It is a dark romantic space, but the menu is very expensive without good vegan and vegetarian options. Call before you go and make reservation. They are open later in the day.

The music and the food was great. I had the salmon and my friend had the Pork Osso Bucco. The food was very flavorful. It is pretty expensive thought. But when your in SoBe, everything is expensive. I had a great time here.

Whomever says that the food here is uneatable has been eating at McDonald's way too much. The food is VERY eatable if you are into 'fusion restaurants', the latest fads among chefs. I found flavorful entrees together with good-bodied house red wines. The interior of the restaurant is done with good taste and the two-story space by the bar in the rear adds to the great design.

This place is perfect for a romantic dinner as well as a night-out experience.

  • Pros: Well designed interiors together with well presented entrees found at the entrance to Lincoln Road
  • Cons: The price will always be a con for any restaurant in the Beach

In Short
Slabs of cool stone, contemporary furniture and muted colors create a clean, almost futuristic vibe. A stage in the back helps transform the eatery into a hot nightspot, as do its three bars. The food is a modern take on classic American. The kitchen's menu changes like the seasons so it's worth regular visits here just to keep up on what's new.

I went to Santo and I had the best time ever. THe crowd was hopping and I swear I brought a couple of friends and we had the best time ever. The music is awesome and if you want to impress someone than this is the place to go. The atmosphere makes you feel energetic and the drinks put you over the edge!

  • Pros: People, Atmosphere.

I have been to Santo 3 times with friends from out of town and this restaurant has to have some of the worst food on the beach. Aside from being overpriced the food is uneatable. They do have a great live band and the lounge atmosphere is pretty good.
