AMAZING new general manager!!

We have always loved Palm restaurants, and were excited to hear that a Palm was opening in our home town of Coral Gables. However, thus far we have been extremely disappointed in the management, so much so that we no longer visited the restaurant. Recently, a close friend told us that the restaurant got a new General Manager, so we decided to give it one more shot. To say we were beyond pleased is an understatement! Michael Meyers is a warm, friendly, personable man, who is exactly what this restaurant needed!! He has made it a pleasure to dine at the palm, and we are now hooked once again!! Michael treats everyone as if they belong at the palm, making it a point to visit every table and thank everyone for coming! Kudos to the palm for hiring such a great man to run their restaurant. We now dine there weekly, and are so pleased with all of the managers, and find the service staff to be knowledgeable and friendly! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!!!!!

• Pros: Michael, the waiters and waitresses, the food, great wine list, great atmosphere!
• Cons: none anymore!! we love it now!

best lobster bisque

I love love love their lobster bisque, I would go everyday and eat it if I had company to. Their steaks I'm not a fan of, I find them to be dry, I prefer the steak at Ruths Chris. Depending on when you go depends on the wait, I've made reservations for the weekend and had to wait a good twenty minutes. Yet, I've gone for dinner on weeknights with no reservation and have been promptly sat. The service is always good. The desserts are HUGE portions, I can't imagine someone eating it by themself. Me and my friends like to go just for dessert after shopping sometimes. Technically youre supposed to dress up for this place, but I've gone casual and never been looked at differently. Price wise, I don't think its expensive, but thats because I don't order steak when I go, I'm fine with bisque and dessert, nor am I old enough to drink, so no drinks! And I wont lie, me and my friends are probably very obnoxious when we go, we're loud, people probably hate the fact we can afford to eat there, so sorry felllow patrons!

Loved it!

Loved it! Excellent food and service! Highly recommend dinning in the bar area it is much more quiet and more romantic than the main dinning room. We sat in a cozy booth and our waiter Robert was wonderful. As a cartoonist I really enjoyed the drawings on the walls! Highly recommended!

• Cons: Main dinning area too loud and crowded (the typical Miami see & be seen crowd).

Good food & drinks, nice ambience

If you like steak, this place is great! The food is delicious, and if you join the 827 Club you accumulate points and points, and receive prizes! I received a free lobster on my birthday! Excellent drink and wine selection, and the desserts are spectacular - although you should to onyl be served half of the dessert and take the other half home! Excellent!

• Pros: Nice ambience, friendly service, full bar

There's nothing funny about the cartoons on the wall at this serious entry in the crowded Gables chophouse race.

Can you be classy and still have a sense of humor? That's never stopped Palm where upscale dining feels stylish even as local celebrity caricatures line the walls, looking down at guests feasting on giant-sized portions of prime aged steaks, seafood, and Italian specialties like veal marsala and linguini in clam sauce. An economical business lunch menu brings out the deal brokering Gables executives by day. Couples of all ages take over at night.

Great Steak and Lobster, Awesome Chocolate Cake

This restaurant really lives up to its reputation as a top notch steak house! Every time I order a steak at the Palm it comes out cooked to perfect temperature. Their desserts are delicious and are very large portions (so you will want to share). My favorite is their chocolate cake. Service has always been prompt which I have found to be unusual in the Miami area.
