When the studio was in Gateway Mall, soothing spa music was always playing relaxing the customers. And, it appeared that customer service was at the upmost. Now that it has moved to 26th Street, all you hear is blaring rock music. No one returns customer phone calls, and there is little to no privacy between the two stations. Perhaps fame has gone to its head? My tattoo happens to be on line under Brian's work. In the picture, it looks GREAT; however, in person is where you see the flaws. He had gone out of the outlines four times. One, which was too noticable, was fixed by making a curve thicker. Ther others remain. Also, on one of my supposed points, there is an "x" where the tips do not meet. Amateur work at professional prices. Mind you, I AM NOT balking at the $300.00, but balking at what I received for the price. This is the second of my last Stevie Moon tattoos by any artist in his studio. My first was perfect, but then again, Brian didn't do it. The ONE redeeming factor is the "nu gel" which helped heal the tattoo quite efficiently.

Pros: easy to find location

Cons: NO FREE PARKING

Stevie is an amazing artist. The problem is that his work is not consistant. If you catch him in a good mood... you're in luck. If not.. try another day.

Pros: you have to keep runing out to the parking meter in the middle of your tattoo, and you have to run across a busy street, Artist wastes way too much time

Cons: when he's in a good mood.. he's the best

This is my second tattoo and I was really hoping that this experience would be better than my last! I searched online for tattoo shops and came across the website for Stevie Moon. I looked over both artists work and really liked both. The site is very professional and well organized. My friend and I were both getting tattoos and Todd had the style that we were looking for. I first e-mailed Todd with an idea of what we wanted. He got back to me quickly and said that he would call me to talk. After our phone conversation, we set up a face to face consult and he was very accommodating. The Shop: The shop is very clean and cozy feeling. It isn't the typical shop with smoking supplies and a bunch of flip books on the wall with tattoo ideas. It is painted in a calming lavender with beautiful curtains separating the two tattoo areas. We also learned that it is by appointment only, which I think is great! The Consult: When we got there, Todd had already begun to research our ideas. He made us feel very comfortable and he is extremely calming (even for someone as hyper as myself). We took about an hour all together and by the end, we had a good feel for what I wanted, and my friend's tattoo was drawn and she loved it! He really took the time to ask questions in order to give us what we wanted, but also gave us his opinion as the expert, which was really nice! The Appointment: Todd had my drawing when we got there and I loved it! We started with my friend's tattoo. All of the needles in the shop are one time use and they are very clean about their work! Todd was warm and welcoming and did a great job on her tattoo. He finished it in exactly the amount of time he estimated and it looked beautiful. My tattoo was next and Todd made sure to give me breaks to move around and made the whole experience enjoyable! I LOVE my tattoo! We also met Stevie who was very nice (and his work is beautiful). Overall, I highly recommend Stevie Moon Tattoos (and Todd)!
