Great place for kids.

by ovale

There are many attractions for children and adults as well. It's a family oriented environment. If you don't like crowds, stay away.. They have rock climbing, Dave & Busters, bowling, movie theatre and outdoor entertainment every weekend. Shopping at discount prices, and plenty of choices of cuisine. I take my son there as much as possible, we both have a great time, every time.

  • Pros: Many things to do
  • Cons: Parking is the only draw back. Not enough parking and to far.

Go to Sawgrass instead, especially if you speak English...

by rtobiejr

I am an avid shopper, and have shopped all over the world, and when I finally did go to Dolphin Mall, I was so disappointed!

There are no large anchors like in Sawgrass (Neiman Marcus, Saks, and more luxury designers in the new Colonnade), only independent retailers who resell cheap merchandise from Miami's Merchandise Mart. Most stores are geared toward a teeny bopper set, with cheaply made novelties (a guyabera halter-- ummmm, I'll pass!!). Add to this the fact that few people working in this mall are actually bilingual (which means speaking Spanish AND English), and you are better off at Sawgrass indeed, my friend.

This mall is kind of a waste of space-- but if people choose to shop there, then there's more Sawgrass for me!

  • Pros: None to think of!
  • Cons: No English speaking sales staff, few high end anchor stores; mom and pop shops with cheap merchandise

Just five miles west of the airport is Miami's urban-chic mega-mall.

In Short
Once South Beach gets too hot, visitors head inland to this indoor, air-conditioned mall. Boasting more than 150 stores, a 19-screen movie megaplex and 850-seat food court, Dolphin Mall combines a range of shopping, theme restaurants and entertainment options for the entire family. Its retail offerings include mix of upscale designers and popular family brands sold through manufacturers' outlets and department stores. Stores include Aldo, BCBG, Liz Claiborne, American Eagle, Bosi, Forever XXI and Mikasa.
