Best bakery around Miami great cupcakes

by foodieinmiami at Citysearch

I found this bakery by chance. We went to a wedding. The cake was beautiful. To our suprise, it was also delicious. It was from The French Bakery.

We visited the Bakery, it was a site to behold!! The cakes are a pleasure to the eyes and the taste buds. When we have ordered special cakes, the chefs make each one more amazing than the last. My favorite is the apricot tart. My husband is partial to the chocolate mousse. Or, maybe we like the individual desserts the best, it's hard to choose.

If you haven't tried this bakery, you are missing out. It is the best we have found. My husband is a pretty picky man. At The French Bakery he never fails to find something he loves.

Tasty food and excellent setting

by cinthiaandmark at Citysearch

This cafe is cute and delicious. Despite the line, it's worth the wait for a beautiful latte and a morning pastry. Bread pudding is also amazing and inexpensive. The deserts here are a star. Also the outdoor sidewalk tables are great for sitting alfresco with friends and sip champagne and cheese in the afternoon.

Delicious

by iragoldstein at Citysearch

Not being native to Miami, I can't vouch for this being the best bakery in the city, but it's definitely the best I?ve visited.

The French Bakery has one of the best coffees in town. Great, croissants and beautiful and delicious pastries and tarts. Incredible sandwiches and salads at great prices, and excellent soups that changes daily, (To me soup is the true measure of a great chef). I also found the staff to be very friendly.

GREAT PLACE!

  • Pros: Quality food in a great location with very nice ambiance

FANTASTIC!

This fun neighborhood place is one of the "jewels" of Miami.

Everything is fresh, scrumptious & addicting!! The only downside is they are closed on Sundays. :)

  • Pros: Yummy quiche - Great value

GREAT LOOKING AND TASTY CREATIONS!

by foodalphabet at Citysearch

I took a lemon meringue cake from The French Bakery to a farewell party yesterday, and every single person loved it...it looked amazing; creatively done, which was why I picked it up immediately. And it was rich, and delicious to taste...Finally, a great bakery in Miami!

Superb Bakery with an original French twist

by onebigeater at Citysearch

Every bit as good as the bakeries in France. Don't worry about the line, it moves quickly. You must try one of the morning pastries, but everything we tasted here was excellent.

Everything I had was great. I am especially addicted to the morning muffins, which feature lemon zest so your breath exudes the essence of citrus when you are done eating. I met a man who is in the neighborhood who is addicted to their lemon tartlets.

Absolutely love them. God has come down and personally touched the creators of the goods served here. I cannot say what my favorite is but you gotta try a mocha capuccino with whatever goodies you get.

It's simply the best. I go there every day and get a fresh croissant. Try it! You can't go wrong.

  • Pros: Baked goods, coffee, service, ambience, everyhting!

Much like Bay Harbor Islands, this place is an absolute gem

by bizcardjdl at Citysearch

The French Bakery is an anomaly in Miami in that the restaurant is consistently great. There's nothing on the menu I wouldn't recommend, the wine list is inventive and extensive, the cheeses are of a variety and quality you don't find outside of France, and the food is fresh, fresh, fresh. Fun place to people watch, and you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air of Bay Harbor Islands, too. This place is a gem. Make sure to check out the daily specials, the salami manchego wrap is out of this world.

  • Pros: Consistently good quality fresh food
  • Cons: Menu is limited in items served

THE FRENCH IS LONG TIME GONE.....

by gordon1 at Citysearch

IN THE BEGINING WAS AN EXCELLENT TRADITIONAL FRENCH BAKERY.

Now is another latino coffee place were is hard to place an order in English, the bread is hard and the owner is never there and if he is HE IS ALWAYS IN A NASTY MODE. Better go accros the street for less

attitude.

  • Pros: location
  • Cons: owners-service-breads

Tasty treats

All the baked goods are not only beautiful, but delicious too. The cakes and breads are better than any place else. Try some of the delicious sandwiches. Everything is so fresh, you won't believe it. It's a friendly place with great selections and prices. You can even order enough for a picnic on the beach. Don't forget to bring some pastries home for later. Delicious.

  • Pros: delicious,variety,fresh food

Love it!

by godzi at Citysearch

For years I lived in Paris and no where have I found a croissant that is even close to tasting like a real French one. Here, it tastes like its from my corner Parisian bakery.

Everything is tastefully prepared, the hot pressed sandwiches are amazing, cakes, cookies and great pastries.

A very nice wine selection with trophy wines and champagne drinks; great espresso. This place also has the best bread south of NYC. It is an unusual place in Miami that a lot of people go out of their way to find.

  • Pros: Tasty, desserts, smells delicious!
  • Cons: Slow service, limited seating
