VEGAN's & VEGETARIAN'S BEWARE!
by Veganzar at Citysearch
I am a vegan and do not eat ANY animal products, and I haven't for 30+ years now. The waitress informed me that the spinach lasagna without cheese, was totally vegan, so I ordered it. As I started eating, I noticed that there was cheese all throughout my lasagna. I have a food allergy, so I was horrified. When I discussed with the owner that there was ricotta cheese in my lasagna, she was extremely rude, she didn't apologize and refused to accept responsibility. I obviously will never return to this restaurant and I caution all vegans and vegetarians as well. During the time we were there, the atmosphere was very tense and stressful, even before "the cheese". The owner was disrespectful and mean to the staff, which made all other customers, including myself, very uncomfortable.

I love this place! We moved from South Florida to Chicago 3.5 years ago and there isn't a week that goes by that my boyfirend and I do not reminisce about chicken and cheese (pritikin style) with lotsa sun sauce and sweet potato fries. We are coming from a visit soon and plan on buying a tray to take back home! Thee absolute best!
- Pros: Sun Sauce & Free Yogurt!
- Cons: Nada
Veggies will be delighted with this tasty spread--morning, noon and night.

In Short
Just over a dozen booths and tables are filled with regulars here for the Early Bird Special; families share the huge portions and health-conscious munchers come directly from yoga class. Most entrees are served with standard sides like soup, salad, rice, potato and steamed vegetables; the portions are so large that one serving will usually satisfy two people. The "Hot One," the most popular veggie dish, features chunky fresh vegetables over basmati rice.
Amazing- Love this place

This little family owned restaurant has been a staple in miami beach for years and it is amazing. the atmosphere is always friendly, you are always greeted by the owner when you walk in the door and the food never takes to long. Speaking of food, it is all great. The sweet potato fries are delicious and thier number one dish- Chicken and Cheese is specatacular. It is a plate of brown rice with marinated chicken and muenster cheese melted on top. Sooo good. Be sure to try thier signature dipping sauce/dressing - sun sauce- regulars swear by it. other home made sauces to try are the Bonzi and Miso. You most certainly do not have to be a vegetarian to love this place!
- Pros: great food, cozy, big kosher selection
- Cons: busy around lunch , not very big
