Skip this place if you want a nice relaxed meal. They will rush you out before you can even swallow your food.
- Pros: decent food, location
- Cons: rushed

We have eaten here many, many times, and the food is consistently great! It's a very popular and busy place, and the service is good. My personal favorite is the pounded veal chop--excellent!

this is a good restaurant to go to if you want good food in a nice atmosphere. Just be ready to deal with some of the rich and snooty clients. But the service is pretty good, and the menu should satisfy any appetite.
rude waiter

We had dinner on Sunday February 3, waiter was Milton D, we had to ladies from Italy as our guest. The total was $ 138.80 and I added a tip of $ 18.70 on my credit card charge. The waiter came back telling me the following: Sir, the tip is not added here, you are supposed to put at least $ 21 in this case or has something not been OK? I added some cash.I go to this place very often as I live near by and many times with guest too, since nearly ten years. I never had such a rude behaviour of a waiter in any restaurant ever!
They will never see me again and I will not -as I used to- send anybody there.
just another Italian chain

The only reason Carpaccio is still in business is because it is located in Bal Harbor shops.
The food is nothing special and it is just like another cheesecake factory chain but in Italian. It does not taste like good home cooked Italian food with great chefs.
It is so commercial and their tuna steaks are definitely the ones that are freezer packed from Costco. I mean its good, but there are definitely better Italian restaurants out there. It?s the "Scene" that every one likes.
- Pros: average food
- Cons: a big social scene
TOO CROUDED

OK, I know its a very popular place but come on! People are seated on top of each other, it feels like you are sharing a table with 20 other people around you. Once seated you absolutely have to stay put since you have to ask all the people around you to get up with you in order to get in and out of your table. The food is expensive and very average definitely not worth the price!!! Waiters are nice, they try to make the best out of this crowded situation. People are very snobby, lots of plastic and bling (and not in a tasteful way, just all out there). Overall experience was horrible, I would never go back there again!!!
- Pros: staff
- Cons: crowd, people, food
A Great Night Out

Don't be put off by the plastic ladies or bling - the food is great and the people-eatching even better! Try the salad with fresh buffalo mozarella as a meal or an app (it's HUGE). The tomato basil pasta with mozarella is fantastic. The portions are large so no room for desert. Great service and there is no place like Bal Harbor...
de-lish

Always great food with good service. Lunch here is super. Arrive late (2pm or so) to avoid crowd. Then sit back and enjoy. The mixed seafood salad is my favorite. Pair it with a glass (or three!) of White Star champagne and you've got a winner! EVER plate is de-lish!
- Pros: excellent food, great ambiance, convenient location
Italian soul food or new soles? What's more important, your taste buds or your feet?

The Food
Dinner for two may cost more than a pair of Manolo Blahniks, but this ritzy Northern Italian hotshot in Miami's very highest net worth shopping mall serves some of the city's best handmade pastas, pizzas and, of course, carpaccio in a dozen variations. Desserts, especially the tiramisu, Italian cheesecakes and wild raspberry tarts, are alone worth a visit.
The Scene
Don't be put off by the snob factor, you'll be treated well whether you arrive in jeans or the latest Fendi fashions. In fact, many of the couture set actually deign to wait in line on the sidewalk for a table. Service is better than at most area restaurants, though when it's really busy you'll find it hard to attract the attention of the handsome waiters who hustle to satisfy the demanding crowd.
