It doesn't get more "margaritaville" than this in Miami!

Put on your flip-flops and tank tops, and leave your worries back on the mainland! Whether you're coming in from the beach or going out after a long day of work in the city... this place is just awesome. Bayside Hut has every kind of fresh seafood, big salads, burgers, and even better prices! I had the crab cake sandwich and it was STUFFED with tons of real crab, like it 's supposed to be. They have all kinds of fresh fish to choose from -- to be grilled, fried, or however you wanna eat it... or I think they even let you bring in your own catch. They also have a great bar, huge patio/deck with views of the water, good music, and the waitresses are fantastic!
- Pros: Service, Location, water views, tons of parking
- Cons: none

Evidently, this place hasn't been reviewed in a while. I went there with a party of 4 last night.....I will never go back again.
All of our pieces of fish (the catches of the day, and the main entrees) were incredibly small and likely weighed 2-3oz? It tasted fine, but $22 for a REALLY small piece of grilled local fish and fast food style french fries?
The service was the pits too...3 of us got our food while the fourth person sat and waited for 5 minutes - no explanation.
This place is ENTIRELY too expensive for the amount/quality of food that you get. You'd think a place that looks and smells like (and essentially is) a fish market would be cheap eats. Prices were on par with some of the best restaurants in SoBe, while they should have been ~$8.95, $10 tops. Boooooooo.
- Pros: Food is ok
- Cons: Prices are way too high for this place.
A casual waterfront restaurant where you can leave the big city behind and relax.

In Short
This laid-back outdoor tiki hut is a local favorite and could never be confused with Bayside Marketplace, where cruise-ship passengers are ferried to buy expensive trinkets. This ramshackle outdoor grill and bar offers a taste of "old Florida" on Biscayne Bay and pretty good sandwiches and fish platters as well. A chalkboard lists the latest catches, which can be ordered blackened, fried, broiled, or in garlic sauce.
great place if you can find it
