Rude management
by CSMobileUser at Citysearch
Not really sure why this place has been around for so long. People that work there rude and the pizza is WAY to greasy. Only reason people go there is because its open late and if you go there late its full of drunk "thugs" on their way home after a night in the grove. Stay away from this place. I also tried ordering from them and they took over an hour, brought the wrong pizza, then after another hour they brought the correct pizza then they tried to charge me for both.
rude management poor quality
by kg305 at Citysearch
ive been coming to this place since i was a kid and since the old man (owner) died the quality of the food has gone down hill. the novelty of the place used to be that you would order a topping on your pizza slice and you would get a MOUNTAIN of whatever you ordered. but i guess the dickhead manager decided to cut back on that to make a buck. its not the place it used to be...
BURNT PIZZA!!!!
by cloudy911 at Citysearch
This place is not what it was 3 years ago, when the original owner , that passed away was there. The quality and quantity has gone , the manager , is rude and has no clue what he is talking about. This was my favorite place for many years, since I was a kid. I grew up right around the shop, would go there all the time. But since the owner passed away it has just gone down the drain. I ordered pizza and subs with a group of friends , the pizza was burnt , when I asked for a new one they gave me a face as if I were crazy. When I got my new pizza it was just as bad so I just threw it away. The subs were cold and tasteless. 5 years ago I would have recommended this place , but don't even bother going, it's not worth the drive.
- Pros: none
- Cons: bad food
Suc#*! Will never be the same!!!!

I just went to Casola's...I've been going there since it opened...almost 30 years ago...one of their first customers...although the quality has been slipping for many years now i have always beena a loyal customer...I have known both owners...the late Ramon and Agustine...since Casola's openened in Miami...both were very loyal and good to me....knowing that I was always a loyal customer and always refered MANY customers to them...but just tonight...I went to Casola's and ordered 2 slices of pizza...I asked for a cup of water...I was given a cup and my pizza...I looked for water everwhere (it use to be with the sodas) and couldn't find it...so I poured some soda...maybe 2 ozs. into my miniature cup...only to have a security guard...some punk making minimum wage...tell me I asked for water...not soda...this is INSANE! I told the punk that I knew the owner and that I had been going there since it opened...only to have some big headed midget tell me HE was now the owner...and i basically needed to leave...it was ALL I could do to restrain myself from beating both the security and "owner's" as# all over the place...so I ask that you PLEASE boycott Casolas...they needs to be taught a lesson...plus the food is slipping...BIG TIME!!!
- Pros: None
- Cons: is supposedly owned by some little big headed punk!!
Tasteless Pizza!
by ZZ123 at Citysearch
Yuck! Pizza may have been big, but it's big and bland. I've had better. Even Dominoe's or Pizza Huts is better than theirs. They need to add some real seasoning to their sauce. What a mistake!
Terrible Pizza
by oneguinho at Citysearch
Huge slices that taste like rubber. Worst pizza ever. How this made this list is obvious - Casola's people voted.... a lot! I avoid the chains but in the case of Casolas would rather eat Mickie D's. People who rate this high don't know pizza from a pothole cover.
- Pros: None
- Cons: bad pizza, no parking, really bad pizza
this place is disgusting
by prairieskye at Citysearch
the pizza is bland and greasy----so what if the slice is big. The ingredients used are the cheapest you can buy. I enjoy real food not just lunchroom filler
Pizza is very, very bad.
by zspot at Citysearch
Having just moved from New York, I am in seach of any good pizza in Miami. This is definitely not it. the pizza is bland, uses cheap ingredients and has virtually no flavor. The search for good pizza will continue, but i will not make another at Casola's.
- Cons: bland, cheap ingredients
Like NY pizza... NOT!
by xwordster at Citysearch
This is not NY pizza. I was blown away by how may reviews recommended this place. Yes, it's inexpensive and convenient, but what about the quality of the food? Thick, doughy crust and meatballs that taste like hamburgers. Just not good Italian food. Try Villa Italia on Coral Way next time.
- Pros: cheap, large portions
Poorly Seasoned. Low Quality Ingredients
by kentnelson at Citysearch
As I took the first chewy bite of what looked like a beautiful piece of NY-Style pizza, I found myself reaching for the salt.
What could have been a stellar crust (good texture!) is defeated by a lack of any kind of proper seasoning. Conversely, the thin layer of cheese is suprisingly salty, and disappoints in quality not the creamy mozzarella topping I'd hoped for.
Is there a tomato sauce shortage? It's applied sparingly. But it, too, lacks proper seasoning, so I hesitate to wish for more.
Sure, it's a gargantuan slice. And if I had liked my high school cafeteria's pizza, I'd have liked this.
Note: Not a clean place. Frightening bathroom. Probably less from proprietor's failing than the late-night stream of inebriated customers.
Instead try Piccola Italia Pizza at 17th Av. and Coral Way or La Dolce Vita at 37th Av. and Douglas Park.
- Pros: open all night, big portion size, beer/wine available
- Cons: unseasoned cardboard, not quality ingred., not very clean
