Sounds like Sobe Lover has a vendetta against this place

I am unsure what Sobe Lover is talking about because their review doesn't sound anything like the experience I had.

I loved my experience at Massage by Design. The atmosphere and staff has tons of personality and they don't make you feel like a number. They genuinely care about what's bothering you and help you design your own massage to get the best results. I received a full 60 minute massage, unlike other places that only give you 50 or 55 minutes. The price was great too! I paid $89 (plus tip) for an hour deep tissue massage.

I also had a manicure and pedicure while there and you can't beat $40 for that!

Give it a try and make your own decision! :)

- the staff is completely unprofessional and unprepared.

- the "receptionist" had an extremely difficult time checking me in

- there was loud chatter and bickering just outside my tiny room or better cell for the orginally 60 minute massage

- it smelled like smelly feet..

i did not finish my 60 mins as i thought i was going to get sick from the smell. i do not recommend this "spa" to anyone. pay the extra 20 bucks for the setai, four seasons, or standard for some real R&R..

I'll be back!

Had a massage yesterday with Serena and gottta say it was the best I've had in years. My back and neck have been killing me, and she was able to go deep and really released my muscles and today I feel great. I wish I could take her home, but since I can't I'll be back for more wonderful massages!

Too busy?

I called Sunday afternoon to make an appoinment for a massage, but nobody pick up the phone. I left a message requesting an appoinment for that afternoon or next day. But nobody returned my call.

On Tuesday still with a real back pain, I called again before 7:00 pm trying to have a massage but it was too late, it was closed. I suggest to change the time: 9:00 pm closing time to 7:00 pm

The first time a had a massage there it was by a promotion, it wasn't a real good massage, but I decided to give a second chance.

This message is for the Manager or Owner: Costumer Service and follow up your client is a number ONE rule in any business.

Congratulation is the Spa is too busy at this time of the year, that you don't have time to return calls or follow up potential clients.

Massage was alright but too expensive. South Beach always more expensive then other places.Girl was too quick. Didn't relax. Parking problem. Had a facial that was so-so and was expensive too. My face look same. Dissapointed.

awesome massage with Nicole!

I was in South Beach for a few days of R&R and visited Massage by Design for a massage and facial. Nicole was my massage therapist and she was totally awesome! Also got a great facial with Christine. Staff is super friendly and not pretentious. It's a short cab ride or nice stroll from the hectic scene of South Beach, but that's what I loved about it!! I live in New York and have tried many spas, but this is a new favorite.

I'll definitely go again when i'm in town. Thanks Girls!

had an overall great experience, but I was pleasantly surprised to have received the best facial I've had in Miami so far. Highly recomend esthetician Martha. She did the perfect eyebrows too.
