I was taken to the restaurant for my birthday. We overlooked to order sides. We had the filet mignon and only realized that we forgot to order our sides when we saw the plates headed our way with only meat. We asked the waiter, “we forgot to order our sides”. He responded to us, well “the kitchen is really busy tonight, by the time we place the side order your steaks will get cold, maybe next time”. We were in shock to say the least. “maybe next time” , Did he think there would be a next time after the poor service. We did not get water and everyone around us got bread and we had to ask for ours. The original waiter left us and another brought the dessert and the check. I mean we were speechless. We have visited several of fine steak houses the service and attention was remarkable. Every time you go to any of these restaurants they ask “is this your first time”? I think this was ridiculous and incredible that he said “maybe next time”. I felt cheated. I seriously wished that I had never gone to the restaurant this past Saturday. As I further searched this morning for reviews to post my own on the restaurant, I found that I am not the only one who has had this experience. I don’t think that I will ever go to your restaurant in any city and if I can discourage more people I will. I don’t think it is fair to spend $200 for dinner and not be satisfied.

Pros: There were no good things.

Cons: Steaks were not seasoned right, or cooked right, waiter and overall service poor. No manager in sight asking if everything was o.k.

The food at Smith & Wollensky is great. I was extremely disappointed in how poor the service was at this establishment as it is so great at other Smith & Wollensky locations around the United States. The waiter did such a horrible job of waiting on us. I spoke with the manager and he recommended that I phone the General Manager directly. I did and left a message for him to call me back and I never heard a word from him. Because of this poor acknowledgement from the GM I have decided to NEVER eat at any Smith & Wollensky no matter the location. This type of service is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!!

If you'r on a tight budget, you can still come here. Good food, good service, good prices, good everything. This place was the first place I went fromthe airport, the first time in miami. Really set a good mood for my vacation. thanks

It is a phenomenal drink. If you love to have mojitos then you'll love this ginger mojtio. It's amazing taste is due to the Alchemy Vodka it is made with. YOU HAVE TO ORDER THE GINGER MOJITO! ITS AMAZING! I had them all night long.

This restaurant is terrible. I have been here twice and left without even getting my food last time I went due to the race-ist signs they have up around the bar!!! this place is an disgusting example of another excuse for hate combined with awful service and even wrose food. i would rather die than support this establishment. Thanks anyways.

A terrible experience. We were all but ignored most of the time and when the food arrived (or rather most of it, as one of our appetizers never arrived at all even though we were still charged for it) it was practically flavorless, not to mention the fact that my boyfriend ordered a ribeye but was served a sirloin. I'll allow that it might just be the fact that it's in the heart of the tourist watering holes, but still. If you have an option, go somewhere else.

Pros: pleasant view -- as you're being ignored...

Cons: they don't bring you what you order -- if they bring it at all.

I was completely surprised when we arrived at Smith & Wollensky. A very good friend of mine had decided to surprise me with an great dinner, and she was right, that is exactly what it was .... GREAT. First of all the location is incredible. If anyone is reading this who has never been to Miami, you must experience it, at least once. We were there on the weekend and around 6PM the cruise ships began to leave and it was simply breath taking. They are so big and were so close, it seemed like you could almost touch them. I ordered the filet mignon and it was made perfectly, the mash potatoes were delicious. The choice of wines was great and the dessert was huge. Afterwards we had a drink at the outside bar and saw the sunset. A night I will never forget. Simply perfect.

Pros: Location, view, and food.

Cons: A little too expensive

went there on our anniversery on a Saturday night and had a great time. The dinning experience took about 2 hours to completion and was outstanding. Service was a litle slow, but maybe on purporse. The waiter and staff were great. Would go back for special occasion - very, very pricy!

IF YOU ONLY KNEW HOW DIRTY THIS PLACE IS YOU'D NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN -ABOUT 9PM EVERY NIGHT THE PLACE IS OUT OF SOUP AND TEA SPOONS AND THE ENTIRE STAFF HAS TO GRAB DIRTY SPOONS AND WASH THEM OFF IN THE HANDWASHING STATION IN COLD WATER WITH THEIR THUMBS -OH AND THERES ONLY ONE HANDWASHING STATION TO BOOT- BAD MANAGEMENT- AND THEY DONT TEST FOR SUBSTENCES SO ALL THE EMPLOYEES ARE ETHIER HIGH OR DRUNK- IF THE ONLY GOOD THING YOU CAN SAY ABOUT THE PLACE IS THE VIEW -YOUR IN TROUBLE -PACK A LUNCH AND SIT IN THE ADJACIENT PARK AND WATCH THE CRUISE SHIPS LEAVE

I cant believe that after 5 years of sh*t reviews they still didn't improove anything. I went there in 2005 and the only positive memory I have is the outside bar. The food was average and the waiters unfriendly and slow. If I pay $86 for a plain (luke warm) steak I think I could at least expect the waiter to pretend to be in a good mood.

Pros: Bar and location

Cons: Food, attitude
