Love It!

We love Books & Books (all locations-but especially here). It' s so cozy and warm. The staff is helpful and can find anything you want. Then, if you're hungry or just want some coffee you can sit and read out in the courtyard. It's a great way to spend a weekend afternoon. No stress, quiet tranquility. It's the best!

• Cons: none

Knowledgeable staffers, an intimate atmosphere and an incredible reading series give this indie bookstore an edge over the big chains.

After almost twenty years at their original location, Books & Books has relocated to a fully renovated Mediterranean-style building just down the street. More than twice the size of the original store, several rooms of books surround an open-air courtyard. The new store also boasts a delicious cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Jammed with well-read staffers, this is your typical indie bookstore experience. The customers comprise a veritable who's who of the Miami literati--and yes, there are more than two of them. The usual New York Times bestsellers along with a renowned collection of architecture, design and arts books and a large Florida collection. Books & Books founder Mitchell Kaplan also jumpstarted the acclaimed Miami International Book Fair. Fancy yourself the next J.K. Rowling? B&B hosts nearly a dozen book groups, including clubs for short stories, Hispanic women, poetry and great books. Call the store or visit its site for schedules.

Best Bookstore In Miami

Hands down the BEST bookstore in Miami. Now ther's one in Bal Harbor also. Can't wait to go check it out. You don't need to go to Mega Bookstores, Books & Books not only has the latest, but the staff is tremendously helpful. The courtyard is perfect to peruse your selections.
