The Scene
In the affluent enclave of Coconut Grove, this avant-garde hotel is a whimsical tribute to the architectural visions of Antonio Gaudi. Its location is right in the center of an array of holiday pleasures, including Cocowalk's outdoor shopping and dining.

The Details
Each of the 179 accommodations is uniquely decorated. The bedrooms are equipped with mini bars, Internet access, stereos 42-inch plasma tvs. Bathrooms have telephones and TVs. Suites include all of these standard amenities and feature eclectic furnishings such as giant, mahogany headboards set against red walls. Gold-colored walls provide the backdrop throughout the rest of the room. Suites also have private terraces and either Roman tubs or Japanese-style hot tubs. The Presidential suite has a piano. Dogs under 40 pounds are welcome for an extra fee.

Romantic

The round Japanese hot tubs on every balcony with there trellis of vines for privacy make this hotel a wonderful weekend ROMANTIC GETAWAY. Lots of things to do and enjoy in the Grove withing walking distance. We stayed while the hotel was being remodeled and were given a great rate because they said it was noisy. However the work crews were not there on the weekend which is when we stayed. Had a fantastic time and they even have a welcome reception with free wine and hors d'oeuvre. My boyfriend loved the huge plasma t.v. in the room. Very romantic..nice for a weekend getaway.

Mayfair Hotel and Spa - Classy digs in Coconut Grove

First of all, the Mayfair combines a strong sense of style with its gourmet Asian fusion restaurant Ginger Grove and the Jurlique Spa under one roof. Make sure you soak up the atmosphere in the bar and outdoor atrium. Beautiful brand new rooms and marble bathrooms. Hot tub on every balcony. The staff was courteous and our meals were creative and exceptional. My husband and I are coming back. Perfect for a romantic getaway. We booked online and had a wonderful stay.

• Pros: Valet parking, great restaurant on property, located next to Cocowalk in the Grove
• Cons: No problems at all

Romantic Weekend Getaway

I have stayed in many hotels including some luxurious ones but the Mayfair gives the impression that it is all for you. It is an excellent romantic weekend getaway for young honeymooners, every room (private balcony)is equipped with a japanese jacuzzi, comfortable beds, Dining and nightlife are just steps away.
