I got a new cell phone number three weeks ago. Since that time I get 8 to 10 computerized phone calls PER DAY telling me to call 800-837-0381. I have tried to not answer, ignore the calls, etc., but they keep coming, seven days a week beginning at around 8 AM every day and ending at night. Finally, I called the number only to find out this is Check Cashing USA's collection method. The person who had my phone number before owes money to Check Cashing USA. I have never and would never use such a service. In order for me to get off their collection list they were requiring ME to provide a lot of personal information, which I think is COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE and would be stupid of me to do. The tacky collections woman who answered the phone was completely hostile and unhelpful, not understanding why this type of harassment of ME (someone who owes NO money) would be upsetting. If you are someone who needs check cashing, why not deal with a company that is more humane in ALL its activities?
Cons: they are unprofessional and tacky
