What a disapointment :-(
by lelypaola
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS RESTAURANT?!?!?
First of, changed names (not Porcao anymore). It used to be excellent in every way: wonderful, colorful and plentiful salad bar, outstanding caipirinha that they would make at your table, excellent service, superb meats, lascious tropical desserts, etc, etc...
Now, is a sad place (it had 5 tables with people on a Friday night) we were freezing they had the air so low our teeth were clacking, the salad bar, it was...ridiculous! wilted greens and old asparragus, they had some "boiled" white blah calamari, not one tomato in sight. the suchi was... not recommendable. caipirinha was like drinking syrup, you were lucky if you got any cachaça in your glass. Wine?!?! HAHAHA, they brought the wine list, we ask for a bottle...they did not have it, so we picked another one... did not have that one either, so they had to bring a new wine list where they scratched with a pen the wines they did not have with "OUT" over it (which was pretty much every other wine) so, we picked a third one... ok, good we got it...
The meats... sad again, very poor, hardly any meats and very salty (so you could keep ordering wine, HA! if they just had some)... we wanted to order a second bottle of wine of the same wine... hello, they did not have anymore!!!! and you know what was the excuse the waiter gave us this time? there was a big wedding during the day and they drank all the wine they had!!!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
i think i just end with my comment here... there was more, but i guess you'll get the point by now. DON'T GO TO PORCAO, i guess i should say RIO's something...
but the kept the pricing of course!
Sad, very sad and dissapointing.
anyway, we will not be there ever again a shame 'cause the view is gorgeous!!!!
- Pros: none anymore (generous with the 1 star!)
- Cons: beautiful view
Stake your claim to all the meat you can eat at this busy Brazilian churrascaria.

In Short
The marble-floored dining room with panoramic views of Biscayne Bay fairly bustles with activity. Waiters bearing hunks of meat on skewers flit from table to table, slicing it to order; others push dessert and bar carts around the room, the latter dispensing alcoholic time-bombs called caipirinhas. Meats (several cuts of beef, lamb, chicken and sausages) are simply seasoned, flavorful and expertly grilled. Among the side dishes, the soupy, savory black beans are a good bet.
Do Not Go Here For Valentines Day
by CKRuiz
My wife and I love the quality and taste of the food at Porcao, which is why she wanted to go their for Valentines day. We made reservations for 9:00PM, however, due to over booking we were sat at 10:30PM.
When we finally were sat, we were not attended for over 20 minutes, we never met our waiter throughout the entire night.
We were served cuts of meat for a long time until I finally felt the need to walk over to a manager request water and beverages. When I wanted the check I needed to waive over the manager again. Considering how poor our experience was I would have expected at least an apology or a round of drinks, instead I was insulted to see a 20% gratuity included in my $150 check total. This was supposed to be a special night for my wife and I and instead it was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant.
Bad service and poor meat choices!
by marle
I went with my husband on Saturday night and we were expecting so much more for the money expended in this small, not cozy or beautiful restaurant.
The service was bad, rude front desk, the waiters kept ignoring our table until we looked uncomfortable, and when we asked for somebody that new about wine there was nobody that new more than us.
The salad bar is very limited, the meat is OK but not great, not a lot of variety of meat, short wine list, the deserts (specially the flan) bad and expensive. For the money expended in this restaurant is way better to go to Texas de Brazil.
On top of the very high bill we had to pay for valet parking. I won't go back to this place.
Worse service ever!!!!!!!!!

Very bad service. My husband and I were invited by our best friends and business partners on my birthday and had a very bad FIRST experience :(. Their service was so bad that there was a point were we all felt so uncomfortable that we looked at each other and stay quite (four people) and serious for them to realized that we had been waiting for someone to come to our table and take care of us. The food was not bad, but you can have better options at Texas de Brazil or if you like something more upscale try Capital Grill (the best!!!!)We are not the kind of people that complaints, we rather not come back to the place but my husband did try to talk to the manager just to let them know (after we paid off course) and he did not care at all just apologized once and stayed quite after that.
- Pros: nothing
- Cons: ambience,service and food

Churrascaria or money maker?
by foodys
I went to Porcao with my husband. 1-A party of 2 is nothing; big $$$ is made by big parties.
The salad bar was very cheap; the meat "outback" quality. We did try to contact the manager who didn't speak portuguese or english. Is Porcao a brazilian restaurant ou spanish? Such a wast of $150. Front desk=horrible. Service=horrible.
I never will go back.
My wedding was at MORTON'S ++++++++++++and they are wonderful.
Ruth Chris is also 10+++++++++++++++++++++++++.
If you want good meat/service do not go to Porcao.
Great Place
by vale_due
The service at Porcao is top notch. I loved the food. We closed the place down and ate there for almost four hours! The staff never made a fuss about our lengthy stay. In fact, having been raised in Europe, I was shocked that they let us sit at the table and chat for half an hour before eating. I NEVER experienced that anywhere at a U.S. restaurant, from coast to coast. The meats were delicious, and I have eaten at The Forge and Prime 112. Only one thing disappointed me, in the end. When making the reservation, I had asked a lady at the restaurant whether the cork fee was a flat fee, and she had said that it was. I found out after three bottles of wine and the bill that it was not --ouch! Don't let that discourage you from eating at Porcao. Oh, and the scenery, with the sunset over the water and the boats, was gourgeous! They gave us a great table. A truly wonderful time.
- Pros: Service and food
We loved it

"The Brazilian Brute of Miami."
by bigtimela
The reputation of this Brazilian steakhouse goes without question as the holy place of the all-you-can-eat, wish-you-had-extra-room-in-that-ridiculously-full-stomach-paradise. Porcaos undeniable menu of exceptional meats is offered at a very reasonable price compared to its competitors. The scenic views of Miamis waterways are breathtaking along with the impeccable service that a VIP guest would ask for. As I entered the restaurant, I noticed an elegant crowd packed on hand that evening. Fortunately for my group, a reservation was made, thereby avoiding the absurd amount of people waiting to get inside for a table. The ambiance is very impressive, especially by the windows where the views are located. I recommend bypassing breakfast and lunch that day for an experience of euphoric stomach packing proportions. The phrase eat your heart out is practiced often here. Ignorance of The Porcao Experience is bliss for all newcomers of the restaurant. Gluttony acceptedfor the night. -L.A.
