A Must Go

by RIZBPalate

This restaurant was definintely a nice surprise!

Everything we ordered was delicious, from the French cheese platter to the fondant au chocolate cake. The Seafood Risotto and Lemon Salmon were very tasty.

However, tables are candle lit which make it chanllenging to read the menu at night.

  • Pros: Delicious food, friendly service, quiet
  • Cons: Dim lighting on the outside porch

Best steak tartare in town

by brickellkey

I try my best to come here at least once a month for the spectacular steak tartare. I have converted people into tartare lovers after experiencing this delicious little gem tucked away in Brickell.

AH, YES THE FOOD HER IS EXCELLENT. TRUE FRENCH FOOD SERVED WITH A BIT OF FRENCH ATTITUDE. IT'S A DELIGHTFUL SPOT WITH A LIVELY DINNER CROWD. THE WINE LIST HAS SOME VERY SPECIAL FRENCH WINES (SOMEWHAT UNUSUAL FOR MIAMI). OUI! GREAT FOOD & A GREAT TIME FOR ALL!

  • Pros: DELICIOUS, FRIENDLY CROWD, SUPERB WINE LIST

Taste the homey cuisine and character of Provence in downtown Miami.

by Contributor

The Scene

Provence Grill brings the cozy, comfy charm of the South of France to a dining scene that often seems more about bells, whistles and dancing bears than the simple pleasures of the table. The table-jammed dining room boasts terra cotta tile floors and earth-toned walls, accented by splashes of sunny Proven?al color. There's also a small bar and protected outdoor patio. Service is appropriately informal but thoroughly professional.

The Food

This hearty, rustic fare conjures up images of sitting down to a meal in a friend's French country kitchen. Coarse-textured house-made pâté is dense and meaty rather than light and livery; endive salad bulks up its collection of greens with lots of apples, blue cheese and toasted walnuts. Bouillabaisse is bold and brassy, full of tender chunks of salmon and tilapia, plus scallops, calamari and mussels. Chocolate mousse is creamy and intensely chocolate-y; oft-abused tart tatin is a delight.

perhaps best in town

by le_maitre

This restaurant is probably the best french restaurant in town - taking all aspects of a restaurant into consideration. The food is delightful and there is a good, FRENCH winelist with some superb liqueurs. the portions are just right - you leave the restaurant thoroughly satisfied and ready to see a movie or do something. The more elaborate menu items appear at dinner, but lunch items are perfect light fare for that time of die. Don't miss their house pate, the lavender creme brulee, and the chocolate fondant. But everything is really good.

  • Pros: prix fixe meals, ambiance, food
  • Cons: nothing really, nothing really, nothing really
