I was just there tonight (Wednesday) with my girlfriend and I can't remember the last time I was so badly serviced in a restaurant. Where to start? The hostess had this pessimistic and serious attitude as if we had sinned because we didn't have reservations (the place was two thirds empty). After she gave us a table, it took a long time before the hostess came to pick up the menus, and no waiter had approached us yet. We told her this and after our patience ran out, the manager came to take our orders. A good 20 minutes passed before the manager himself started waiting on us. What was worse is that other Italian guests were being serviced promptly and a lot more courteously than us (We are young well-dressed college-educated Cuban-Americans, just in case you wonder). I hadn't felt so abandoned in a restaurant before. There was a clear preferential treatment with a couple of tables (all Italians) around us who had arrived after us and received their food and everything else way before us. The food was not impressive, I can name at least three seafood places that are obviously better than this: Rusty Pelican, Captain's Tavern and Grillfish. The only upside to this day is that they knew how bad a service they had given us and deducted 25% off our bill and crossed out the tip section. This is not nearly enough to make me go back to this sad place.
Pros: Ambience, location
Cons: Service, average food

A very romantic place to take a date or someone that has never seen downtown Miami. Go by car or take your boat. Recent improvements to the outdoor eating area has really stepped this place up! There is an excellent assorted grilled seafood dish for two which is a mound of finger licking fish! The staff needs a little better training it took four reminders to get us a bottle of sparkling water to the table. Overlooking that, the entrees were good. Not so sure about the desserts. The tiramisu seemed defrosted.
Pros: Amazing views at night!
Cons: Staff needs some work but friendly

I disagree with all these other reviews, I cannot stop thinking about how wonderful my meal was last Sunday! We arrived at about 10 PM, had a great table, dock side. The waitstaff was slightly clueless, but eager to help. We had the grilled seafood platter for two and it was the freshest, best seafood I have had in a very long time! The platter consisted of lobster, crawfish, calamari, tuna, salmon, shrimp, grilled vegies & roasted potatoes. Wine was good and ambiance was great. Also, we couldn't find the restaurant, so we called and the Matre'D got in his car and found us! They were low on wine choices, and the waitstaff was not spectacular, but the delicious food and location made up for that! Highly reccomended!
Pros: Food!
Cons: Waitstaff

Big Fish on Friday's after 11PM is certianly a fun place to end the night. Beautiful people in late 20s through late 30s go there to dance, have drinks and have fun. However I tried the food once and it sucked. The calamari had absolutely no taste. When I said that to the waiter he said, smiling, Welcome to Big Fish! He did not want to be rude at all, I know what he meant: I can not do anything , this is our food, either you (or me) like it or not. So I did not had a bad day. It was the standard. I had a hot date so did not want to bother but certianly I am not going back to the restaurant anymore. The bar is OK ONLY on Fridays. On Saturdays there is no party so don't bother and go somewhere else.

Went to Big Fish on a Sunday night. Made reservations weeks in advance, but was hastily placed at awful table by bumbling manager and waiter (who were fighting in another language - Italian?) even though there were plenty of good seats open by the river. After our 3rd complaint, we were finally moved to table WAY at the end of row of seats where we were totally forgotten and had to walk back into restaurant for bread, then again for drinks, the again for dessert menu then again for check - it was unbelievable. View was very nice, but for the out-of-the-way location and the idiotic service, if you want to see the river, go on your own, take a stroll... then go to eat a good restaurant. The staff was THAT bad.
Pros: View
Cons: Staff
