After years of being in Biz, I have to say that Opium Garden could be my ultimate hang out spot. The Buddah and Asian influence seems to play a very sensual role when meeting people. Hehe. you will most likely leave Opium with a date. i know it has happened to me before. :)

I love this spot b/c you have the choice of going outdoors into the garden or inside overlooking the garden. For a change, the security/door guys are actually nice and accomodating. Same goes for the waitstaff. The crowd is always great and dancing under the stars is always a blast.

I love this place! It's such a refreshing change of pace. While outside there is the hustle and bustle of taxis and hundreds of people trying to get, you walk into a garden full of beautiful people and great music. The atmosphere at Opium Garden is intoxicating, the 3 vodka tonics I had may have helped. But I fell in love with Opium Garden. It's my new Friday spot!

BE WARNED.... Do not go or even think about going to Prive/Opium, the staff there are very rude, and unprofessional. If you go in a group, you are not guaranteed to all get in, they basically pick you to get in, if the door guards, don't think you "fit in" you or your friends will not get in. We had a terrible experience on Sat June 2nd, where we had reserved a list for a party of 40 people. We were confirmed by two people at Opium Group office the day before (Friday) that we would not have a problem getting everyone in for free. And of course on Saturday to their convenience they could not find that list, so they were super rude and let in like 10 people for $20 a pop, and the rest were outside until 1 AM still trying to get in. So we all decided to leave together. Waste of night and big time downer!! Not to mention people flew from NY, NJ and GA to come to this party. The music inside was HORRIBLE too, they played Y100 music IN A CLUB!!! TERRIBLE!!!

i went to South Beach about a month ago with 2 other girlfriends and we decided to check out Opium Garden on a friday night. when we got there around 12:30am, there was already a huge crowd outside, but we went straight up to the front and was let in immediately...no waiting (i love that)! when i walked inside, i was amazed at how beautiful this place was. the main room plays all sorts of music and it is hot since it is an open-roof venue, but if you can go upstairs, there's A/C and they play hip hop in there all night. i had an absolute blast there!!!

Opium is much better than this site makes it sound. First off the music isn't just electronica, it varies with the day of the week. Sunday- "Ritual Sundays", hip hop/R&B/dancehall with Dj Khaled-Terror Squad/99jamz, and official Miami Heat Dj Irie Saturday- Techno/electronica Friday- Is always different

If you're looking for a posh club with good music and a cordial staff, this is it. I went with three of my girlfriends n a Sunday and we had a total blast dancing to hip hop all night! We didn't feel like we were being watched, stalked, or followed by sleazy voyeurs-- no shady wallflowers here. The Asian garden decor is awe-inspiring. Everyone was very pleasant. The crowd was attractive-- but no celeb-types were there. There are plenty of bar areas to have drinks. It does get a bit crowded, though.

Pros: Upscale, Good looking crowd, Beautiful decor

Cons: Crowded, Long line to get in

The place is great and so is the music, but when it comes to confort level . . . well let just say that Miami is hot enough as it is and it can get a bit hot and crowded. The music is great and worth going to, but maybe not on those hot summer days.

Opium have alot of beautiful ladys, 4rooms, rest room is really clean. This club can't be compared to any other club in South Beach, it's the BEST IN FLORIDA. I been to this club at lease 8 times and I've seen Usher, P. Diddy, Micheal Jordan, S. Pippen, Nelly, Nicky & Paris Hilton, Waynes brothers, R. Kelly, Nick & Jissca Simpson, and the list goes on and on.

This club has to have one of the most unique and gorgeous designs I have ever seen. Only in Miami Beach could you have a club where they've blended the inside and outside into one club. The bartending staff was also extremely helpful and friendly, which if you've been to Miami, is pretty unique in itself. This club's huge flaw, however, is the sound system. I'm not sure if they can't turn it up all the way because of noise ordinances, but the sound system there simply isn't loud enough.
