NEW AND IMPROVED!
by jen37
I have been away from the spa at Delano for some time now, due to being out of town on business. When I arrived in January 2008 after not visiting for close to a year, I walked into this new AMAZING oasis of a spa. They have completely remodeled! Gorgeous, breath taking, a make-over that was much needed. (My previous experience was always excellent; the facilities just needed a little touch up to make everything perfect.) The staff remembered me when I checked in, which gave me such a warm welcoming feeling. I normally do not share my feed back on places I visit, but it would be selfish of me to keep agua a secret. I can go on and on how amazing my massage, facial, manicure and pedicure was, but I strongly recommend for all to experience. They are now a coed spa, which is great because we ladies can go in the evenings now. I will definitely be back to my home away from home!
- Pros: Loyal staff that will remember you from previous visits
- Cons: Some may say its pricy, but so well worth it!

In Short
Aromatherapy candles, herbal tea and whitewashed walls--it's all very Zen once you sail past the downstairs gatekeepers. Align your chakras with breathing and exercise classes like qi gong, Reiki or Thai bodywork. The Delano is also a celebrity hub--everyone from Claudia Schiffer to Madonna has lounged here. The usual shiatsu and deep tissue massages are available in small rooms divided only by white curtains, so you never know what you'll overhear.
Change
by klinjym
Change is sorely needed here. The massage was ok (noisy area, but ok) The facial was a disaster. Is it too much to ask to have your blackheads removed? Is it too much to ask for a pleasant reply? The pool was the only really good thing about the whole experience.
- Pros: wonderful pool
- Cons: unskilled, unfriendly
Cattle
by kaliagee
Rather than a warm and fuzzy feeling that I was expecting, my day at the Delano Spa made me feel like I was part of a herd of cattle. I was rushed to the lockers, called by the wrong name, waited for fresh towels and then had a mediocre facial by a woman who couldn't wait to get me off the bed! It wasn't at all what I expected-
yet it certainly cost plenty.
- Pros: good location, nice swimming pool
- Cons: , unskilled staff, expensive
too much going on!
by hanatres28
When you want to relax and get away from it all a Spa seems like the perfect spot. Not here. It's sooo
noisy. Everybody seems to be in a hurry. Appointments run late. You feel rushed. All I want is a tranquil environment so I can enjoy my overpriced treatment.
- Cons: , expensive, noisy
Heaven
by luzcategui
agua spa is like a heaven on earth. The white curtains in the spa give it a peacful feeling as you walk through the spa. The customer service, is beyond expectations, and only made my experience more enjoyable. The therapists had such an amazing touch, they really left me in awe. I would highly recommend this spa, because there are no words for what I experienced. :o)
- Pros: Customer Service, Privacy, Delano
Beyond Beautiful
by tori327
Agua may not be your typical resort, it may not be your typical spa, but I've never been anywhere so serene. I've lived in Florida all my life and adore the beach and sunlight - two things Agua uses to perfection. The white curtains cast a bright glow across the white walls, seats, tubs, robes, and time never seems to pass. Whether sunbathing nude on the outdoor patio or munching on nuts on a chaise with the latest magazine, Agua is a sensual awakening to the life we seem to miss in our orthodox world.
- Pros: Liberal/Unorthodox, Wonderful services, Amazing ambiance

I had the milk and honey treatment at the Agua and I thought it was wonderful and very relaxing. Yes, the white curtain "walls" between treatment room are a bit unorthodox -- but so is Miami -- and I thought it made the entire spa seem ethereal and bathed in sunlight. I loved it. I will definitely go back, although my one complaint (and many spas are guilty of this) -- please provide bigger bathrobes! Nobody will feel relaxed if they always have to adjust the bathrobe for fearing of falling out of it-- is that too much to ask?
chamber of noise
by sobeejc
The blinding white and light of the Agua Spa coupled with the lack of doors or walls for most body treatments make this one of the most difficult places to relax. Flowy white curtains throughout the spa may be pretty, but being able to hear every body movement, word or whisper from the therapist or clients in the space next to you is not my idea of an escape! There is little that is "meditative" about Agua and you must certainly use "your universal life force" to remain calm!
- Cons: lack of privacy, loudness, attitude
