The Skinny
Long before the flakes off the lake generated big business in the Winter sports scene, The Ski & Sport Haus in Chagrin Falls was setting the standard for equipment and service in Northeast Ohio.
To this day, the lodge-like location --rendered somewhat small compared to some of the newer colossal sports warehouses--still has the right mix of experience, stock and service to qualify as the solution to any slope (or seasonal) undertaking.
The Lines
It's a good bet that most ski lines had their introduction to the market via the Ski & Sport--and the selection remains strong with lines such as Rossignol, Solomon and Volant. Since lift tickets alone can create a financial avalanche, there's the affordable Alpine line, used equipment sales and trade-ins available. For the "extreme" hilltoppers come boards from K2, Volkl, and The Line, as well as helmets from Boeri and Briko.
