Dr. Cabeza is a remarkable Doctor. Melissa always gets out of her way to make my crazy dog feel at ease. Very professional and compassionate staff.
Love the staff and Doctors. My pets are like my kids and everyone has been wonderful at Doral Centre Animal Clinic. It matters a lot to us that everyone takes an interest and truly cares about my dogs. Love you guys!
The most horrible experience I have
ever had. Notice all the positive reviews are only 2-3 generic lines....
I completely agree with the Yelp reviews about people only going here because of the location. I went once before after I first moved here simply because it was close to my apartment. We waited in the room for about an hour, and I could hear the vet and the assistants laughing and joking around out in the hallway. The actual ear exam took about 5 minutes, but we spent around 2 hours there total.
I called last night to make an appointment at 9am (after the woman on the phone insisting that I go in for an emergency visit just to get my money), but I called this morning and rescheduled for 2:30pm. I arrived on time, but the receptionist could not find my appointment. The first thing she said was, "Oh, I do not see you in here. You probably called the hospital down the street." In other words, she immediately blamed me for her mistake. What happened to the customer is always right? I told her I called last night and this morning, and she again said that I had probably called the wrong place. I told her that this is the only place I had ever been too, pulled out my cell phone, and showed her the phone number. She threw her colleague under the bus, "Oh, it must have been the other receptionist that booked the appointment then." I remembered the girl's name, Stephanie, and at that she was quiet (I'm assuming it was her). The girl said the vet had an "unexpected surgery" (not sure when neutering operations sprung up unexpectedly...) and for me to drop my dog off for a $100 fee. I told her that I would just come back, since my dog was not feeling well (I did not want her cooped up in a cage), and they told me to go back around 4:30pm.
This time I called before leaving my apartment, and the woman on the line told me that there were a lot of walk-ins coming in, so she could not guarantee that I would be seen right away but that I should come in within the hour. I told her I had an appointment, and she just repeated herself. Why make an appointment if you don't even respect it and take walk-ins beforehand? I assume not all walk-ins are considered emergencies...
In the car on the way, Stephanie finally called back and told me "she did not forget about me" and that the "vet just got out of surgery but had to go right into another one." The woman on the phone that I spoke with 10 minutes beforehand told me that she had been out of surgeries since this morning.
Stephanie rescheduled with me for 6:30pm. I turned my car back around (they are lucky I did not make it there in person), and I am not online writing this review and looking for a new vet.
I should have known that this place was horrible the first time I went. You have to sign a disclaimer that the vet has a right to deny service for rude customers. Why do you think they have to give out this form and so many customers get upset?
IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!! The time and money you would spend driving to a better vet is still less than what you spend waiting in the exam rooms for the vet to finish all her "surgeries" after scheduling an appointment with you and the money you spend for mediocre service. The way the staff speaks down to you sets you up to be just another "rude" customer that they mention on their disclaimer form.
Dr. Cabeza is an amazing doctor. She mentioned the dog park and possibly getting a trainer to help worried dog owners, like myself feel comfortable taking out hyperactive dogs to the park. I am very interested.
This has been the best experience I have ever had in an Animal Hospital by far. The staff was ready to work to save my kitty. I will definitely come back for all my vet needs.
Very positive environment- loved to have this experience with my kitten. They try the best they can to stay within my budget and provide excellent care.
We have been coming here for more than a year. Every single person that we have dealt with has given us and our pets excellent treatment & excellent bedside manor. Melissa was extremely helpful along with the rest of the staff. We recommend Doral Centre Animal Hospital with the highest regard.
I wish all Animal Hospitals were as great as Doral. We have moved quite a bit aways and still take the 45 min drive to ensure our animals receive the best care possible, without going broke.
As I'm sure any pet owner will agree, peace of mind regarding our pet's health is priceless. To get that at a reasonable price 24/7 is comforting.
