Really enjoyed this place.
I love BBQ and unfortunately, in South Florida there are few places that really shine with all American BBQ food. I feel this is definitely one of them. They have a really cute thing going there in terms of atmosphere and events, although I have to say the music was a little loud. But the food was great! We got deal on groupon I think it was and decided to try Smoke T. It was a good choice. We ordered two sandwiches, which are pretty huge (enough to feed my 6'4" husband) and they come with fries. Delicious! We also got a drink, which comes in a jar. A great meal overall. I wish they were closer to home because I live in West Kendall. But, whenever we're near US1, we don't think twice before heading there. Happy eating....thanks for reading!

The old JJ's diner has been updated, with a good chunk of its dining area transformed into a stylish lounge complete with a piano-blessed stage for live music on weekend evenings and a shuffleboard table. The modern dining room serves up southern vittles including fried chicken with waffles and catfish sandwiches. Pit barbecue is the specialty, starring slow-cooked brisket that simmers in a cola-based barbecue sauce for 18 hours. On crowded evenings the action spills over to a pair of outdoor patios. It may be throwback comfort cooking, but it's done up with modern bistro panache.
