Citysearch Editorial Review.
Updating the traditional European eatery blueprint with stylistic touches, this modern trattoria brings a hip vibe to Coral Gables. The bar's colorful countertop has a twin in a raised communal table. The dining room is bright and snappy with white leather seating and cheery artwork above the banquette-lined wall. The mold-breaking menu offers rare finds including skillet-braised monkfish, eggplant-stuffed tortellini and ravioli filled with bronzini. Traditionalists can still order up pastas, chops and wood-fired pizzas. Like most Gables tastemakers, the crowd is mostly shoppers and white-collared pros by day, and couples, families and celebrating friends by night.
