Cuban cuisine gets a nouveau spin at this Kendall outlet of the popular Gables eatery. Instead of traditional fried plantains, these are topped with shredded pork and a guava barbecue sauce. Banana chips are serves nachos style with ground beef and melted cheddar. Grilled chicken breast is covered with a mango and tamarind sauce. A salmon salad is topped with slices of avocado and strawberries. The setting is just as modern, as a brick-walled entrance separates the bar on the right from a dining room where black leather seats stand out against the white walls and palm tree prints.
