Venezuelan churro chain sends shoppers on sugar highs..
Sweet concoctions are rarely in short supply at a shopping mall, but this Venezuelan import typically has the longest lines in the mall. Its specialty is the churro, the long sugary sticks of fried dough that bring out the inner Homer Simpson. A regular "crispy" order offers up eight Cuban-style churro strands, ready to shake up in a sugary bag. Larger churros are available, decadently filled with chocolate, caramel or guava. The dining room is bright, with colorful churro portraits on the wall. A dozen small steel tables are there for hungry mouths and tired feet after long lines.
