Turnberry Isle's outdoor cafe overlooks the golf course..
The Fairmont's outdoor grill is a golfers' favorite. Overlooking the resort's signature course, diners sit under umbrellas that block out most of the sun's vicious rays. The adjacent waterfall and palm trees provide a welcome contrast to the hilly greens on the horizon. The menu has a Mediterranean bent, highlighted by roasted shrimp scampi, porcini pasta, and chicken scallopini. Given the country club setting, many of the guests are members or overnight resort guests, but outsiders are perfectly welcome to rub elbows with the locals--yes, even if they don't like to golf.
