Fontainebleau's accessible restois a theatrical affair..
When you're at one of the more casual restaurants in the massive Fontainebleau beachfront complex, it's important to note that it's all relative. You still get a lively exhibition kitchen as the eye-tugging centerpiece, and it's a diversionary treat to see servers scurrying around the minimalistic yet cavernous dining room. The menu is a globetrotter, evident by soup selections that spoon out borscht, clam chowder, French onion, and matzo ball. Heartier eaters go for the meatloaf or grilled salmon. Diners are typically overnight guests, drawn to the eatery's convenient location on the way to the outdoor swimming pool.
