Finally, a great BBQ place in Miami. Bulldog BBQ is a really nice place with a cool concept and delicious BBQ. I've been waiting for a good BBQ place to open in Miami and it finally has!!

On my two trips their I've been able to try a few things out. The beef brisket was a little small in my opinion but very tasty and super moist. I LOVE the rub they use on it. The corn bread that comes with your meal tastes fresh and homemade. The coleslaw was yummy but I had difficulty getting it out of that little cup! Totally worth the effort though!

I've also had the rib/chicken combo which were both great! Their house rub is unique and spicy. I reallllly enjoyed it. The chicken was not at all dry - which is always a plus with BBQ chicken.

The decor is upscale but comfortable. I felt okay dining there in casual clothes despite the black cloth napkins and fancy dinnerware. I pay a great attention to detail when I go out and you can tell the owners of this place do too. The menus are super cute, the hanging baskets on the wall with the sauces are trendy. Even the bathroom is nice. Oh yeah, they offer catering at decent prices (I picked up a pink catering menu on the way out) which I will keep in mind for the next family reunion.

Overall, great place. I'll definitely be back.

Top Chef celebrity has a knack for barbecue in the heart of. Howie "Bulldog" Kleinberg was a shooting star during Top Chef's third season. Two years later, he got his own restaurant to shine in. Any celebrity pretentiousness is lost the moment you are seated. The butcher paper on the table let's you know that things will get messy, as any respectable barbecue joint knows. Despite cutesy names, like "puppy chow" for the kids menu or "grass" for salads, authentic barbecue like ribs, chicken, beef brisket and pulled pork are the real draws. Items like cornmeal-crusted oysters and a turkey-based white chili introduce new colors to smear on the table.
