Tips for Prestige Audi

July 30, 2012

Overall -- full of empty 'typical car sales' promises!

I requested a quote via internet on a Premium Plus Audi A6. I had a quote from another dealer (and since Prestige claims to be such much bigger & better)... i wanted to see if they could beat the other quote.

I spoke with sales manager M Griffith. A manager - not just a regular sales person.

He told me they could beat the other deal, and to come in.

I live far from Prestige... so i made sure that Michael knew exactly ALL the details that i wanted. ALL the details of my trade in and what it was worth.

Basically - to work out all the numbers BEFORE i come in.

I was told that yes - the numbers were worked out and that Prestige could easily beat the other quote for the same car.

I got there on Saturday. The dealership was empty (on a Saturday afternoon!!!).

Many of the sales people were screwing around and talking loudly. Very unprofessional bunch overall.

Even though my appointment was with Michael the sales manager ---- he stuck me with some guy who was clueless about the deal i had worked out already via emails.

I basically wasted 2.5 hours on a sunny Saturday afternoon... to basically have these con artists flat out lie to me and didn't even come close to beating the other dealers real time quote!!

Yuri - the overall dealership manager tells me that it should not be a problem for me to spend the extra $75/month payments ($75 MORE per month than the other dealer quote!!!!)..... because and i quote: "I should buy with my heart, and not my head!".

What a croc of shit!

I really do not know if they sell more Audi's than other dealers. But i will say this:

their location is extremely cramped. To look at cars... you basically have to "drive over" to another parking lot about 1/2 mile down the road in a dirty, unpaved parking lot field. You feel like you are in the slums... not a 'Prestige' dealership.

While in the dirt field - i noticed next doors was this huge mega-complex... which was a Lexus Dealership!

So after my crappy experience with these UNprofessionals.... i drove next door to Lexus and bought a 2013 GS F Type which is much better than the crappy 2.0L small engine A6 they were trying to stick me in.

Overall - a very dissapointing buying experience. I will NEVER go to Prestige again.

Prestige Audi Service -- abysmal. Manny at Prestige, who quit last Friday, decided to explain his motivation in not fixing my car, and in leaving it outside to flood a second time. Apparently my car, just bought for $14,000, was not "good" enough to repair.

Here is his complete message to me, sent through YELP:

Manuel M. has sent you a message on Yelp:

Crappy car!

"Get a life and a new car! It's not my fault your car isn't worth enough to even turn it into an artificial reef. Have a great life.

P.S. Thanks for letting me know the folks at prestige spoke negative about me after I quit."

Very Good Selection of Audis. I have leased my Audis here for the past 7 years. I look for hard to find color and feature combination and always have found my car at Prestige. They make it very easy for me to trade out of my current car and I even get loyalty money for being an Audi customer. Its also located conveniently by shopping plaza so i can go to lunch while a wait for an oil change.

Horrible service!!. This is my third time for service and horrible! They always have you waiting even at 8am when no one is there while Manny was surfing the Internet. He didn't even ask to help another advisor ended up taking my order. Communication is poor. It takes a long time for anyone in service to answer. Oh and wait .. They'll ask you to drive a rented Kia which you have to go offsite and pick up. The other two times my rental was not covered so they offer a shuttle service which again you have to wait. I was told to come at 8 am for a 8:15 shuttle. After waiting 30 mins and complaining a shuttle immediately became available at 8:45. For pick up don't be surprised if they call you at 3 and leave work early because they don't want to get you close to 5 which technically is the last pick up. They rush me to leave work and yet to still be waiting.

Overall horrible service , communication ! My last car was a BMW and by far Braman is better. Our other is with Lexus Pembroke Pines and again much much better. They make life easy for you!

Buyer Beware!!!. I bought a Q7 from them online at a middle of the road price, but very low miles. It was Certified Pre Owned by them and described as near showroom. When the Q7 was delivered, it was obvious the truck was nothing like showroom. All 4 of the 20 inch rims had bad curb rash and other scratches. Mechanically, my local dealer had to replace both mirrors, wipers, a blower motor, climate control display, part of sunroof, rear acoustic sensor, activate the second key... you get the point. Prestige's logic: Well it was still under warranty and it didn't cost you anything for the repairs (!).

Even though I told Prestige the nearest Audi dealer was well over an hour's drive from me.Remember CPO means the truck had a 300 point inspection which it passed. There was evidence of a prior long dent in the rear quarter panel that poorly repaired, other body panels had touch up work done my 11 year could have done better, finally, there were two large rusted dents over the rear hatch.

The Prestige implied I or the shipper must have done all this to the truck (and then tried to paint it to cover our tracks, right?).

In the end, this dealer took no responsibility other than agreeing to have 3 of the rims resurfaced. They don't answer phone call or return emails either. I warned them I would post similar blogs everywhere I could if they didn't just respray the bad paintwork ,Prestige refused.

IF YOU STILL DO BUY FROM THEM, YOU HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT YOURSELF if you have similar problems as I
