Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Nothing near ROME or ROMA!. This hotel used to be my favorite when it was known as El Palacio. Ive been frequenting Miami for years now always booking there. My troubles started with reserving and paying for a room on the second or above floor. Nope didnt happen, I was placed with no room for questions on the first loud noisy floor across the hall from housekeeping Okay- the room was rank and smelled of filth. The bed was worn. There was patches on the bathroom ceiling of undone drywall (leaks) repair. The tub was worn and in need of a facelift. No room service. The bar/restaraunt was closed down out of business leaving to travel to find food. The snack machine was no better- I purchased a snack that was open and took it to the front desk to let them know. The girl behind the counter-rude-dont care attitude replied promptly by saying there is nothing she can do. And ive book a room for how much!!! Room service came at 3:30 the next day!! I was mad and she so called cleaned by sweeping the carpet with a broom, placing dingy sheets on my worn bed- no paper toilet, no smell good in the air, no nothing and left the trash in the bins. Nastiness. The outside does not look anything like in the fotos---thats what it used to look like. The roman statues had mildew grwoing on the them, the trees and bushes were unkept. Its poorly lit bad outside. The landscape-WHAT landscape. I hated everymoment I was there. I was there from August 14 thru Aug 17 2009 in room 105.- And I dont recommend this krappy MOTEL to anyone. Its a fake with poor quality and poor customer service.
