Amazingly Delicious – I have to admit I have had quite a few burgers in my lifetime and this burger spot tops the list. Orangic, great toppings, sweet potato fries, perfect portions, great buns equals an amazingly delicious burger. And to top it off, they offer a great selection of beers to compliment your meal. Try the Grass Fed Burger (with bleu cheese), my favorite!
Great food, lousy service – I went here with my family and friends based on a co-workers recommendation. On a hot 100 degree miami day, the a/c was broken when we arrived. The manager took out a huge fan and aimed it at our table to keep us cool. It worked and despite the broken a/c, the atmosphere was nice.
I heard about the beer cocktails and when I asked the waitress for a recommendation, she said "none" and that she didnt like any of them. I ordered one anyways, since my co-worker recommended them and it was definitely a unique treat. Nothing to rave about, but worth trying.
Food wise: I had the fried pickles which were delish. Then again, anything fried is good. I also had the mediterranean burger, which is a ground lamb burger with feta cheese, grilled onions and spinach. By far, its the BEST burger I have ever had. It was amazing. My husband and friends all had the traditional 8 oz burger. Those who actually got to eat their burgers, found them to be tasty. However, ordering a medium burger got you something much closer to medium rare (mine included but I was ok with that) and one of the burgers had to be sent back not once, but two times and ultimately rejected totally. The waitress was not apologetic at all. Reminder: it takes 20 minutes to cook the burgers, so that did not make any of us happy and after the 2nd try, we gave up and my girlfrined ended up picking off of her husbands burger and her kids grilled cheese. Which, by the way, the grilled cheese was delicious and made with real cheese and good bread (not white bread and kraft american cheese). The fries were also very good.
During the course of the meal, and even though we were litearally the only customers in the restaurant at the time, the waitress never once came over to check that everything was ok. We had to raise our hands (like in class) and even send over one of the kids to get her, when we needed something. She never came by to refill our water glasses.
The bill was screwed up and when we pointed that out, the manager finally came to apologize for everything and gave us some cupcakes to compensate for the service we recieved. At least the manager was nice.
Overall, other than the mishap with the one burger, I have to say that the food was great. The waitress needs to be fired. Despite the terrible service, I will be back for that lamb burger. if it were not for the unfriendly waitress and the screwed up burger, I would have given it 5 stars.
Second Time Is Not Fine – This is my second visit. I really want to like this place but the basics are lacking. Took 35 minutes to receive food and it was barely warm. I hate that. The 6oz burger is way better than 8oz cause it has better quality toppings. My first visit the fries dripping in oil. This time I asked waitress for most popular side, she answered the potato skins. Awful: small portion, dry, no flavor. I am pleased the restaurant now takes credit cards.
