a really great Irish pub. It just has a really nice cozy atmosphere and the staff was very friendly.I love irish pubs and I travel all over the country and go to them .I would have to list them in my top 10.Your friend from southbeachorbustdotcom…
Good beer, good place to get away from the club scene, can be terrible service. Service is shaky here. The bar is not too crowded most nights, which is why I like going there, but even when it isn't crowded the bar tenders can be rude. If I setup shop at a bar, I want to befriend the bartender, order a ton of beers, and probably mix in some shots with my friends. When I go to Waxy's, it is not unusual for the bartender to care more about picking up some random girl, then making sure my glass is never empty. This practice is fine at clubs and club type bars, not at a pub. At a pub, you expect a bar tender to be more empathetic to the customer's' needs. My friends and I usually go to Waxy's first, if the bar tender is not bringing their A game, we either leave before or directly after our first drink. Playwrights is just across the street and I'm willing to put up with the crowd for the better service.…
South Beach 'typique'. don't go here for irish food...you won't find any. No cabbage soup, corned beef entree, irish fondue...which is sad considering its also a 'pub.' Service won't impress you, or draw you to come back. Beer was cooooolllllddd! Dining atmosphere is nice. Place definitely has potential.…
