What People Are Saying About Brownes Beauty Lounge

In Short – Located in the upstairs loft of Brownes & Co. Apothecary, this salon eschews feng shui trends for comfy sofas, creaky wood-plank floors, stripped furniture and antique reclining hair dryers. The combo salon and beauty-supply store means that your look-at-me look includes a makeover with one of a dozen elite makeup lines like Shu Uemura, Stila or Nars. Try the summer citrus pedicure: Feet are soaked in warm water with mineral salts and fresh slices of oranges, grapefruits and lemons.

i WATCHED THE SHOW IN REGARDS TO THIS SALON.
FIRST OF ALL I VISIT THE AREA OFTEN AND I WILL TELL YOU THIS I WILL NEVER NEVER GO TO THIS SALON. I WILL ALSO TELL THIS TO EVERYONE I KNOW. THE OWNER IS A BULLY, AND OUT RIGHT BULLY. TREATING OTHER HUMAND BEINGS THE WAY SHE DOES IS APPAULING. WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN LADIES, IS FIND ANOTHER JOB, AND ALL OF YOU WALK OUT AT THE SAME TIME. LEAVE THE BULLY HIGH AND DRY. OR KEEP TRACK OF ALL THE ABUSE AND SUE HER TILL SHE CAN'T BREATH.
SHAME SHAME ON YOU ! SOMEONE NEEDS TO TAKE YOU OUTSIDE TO THE WOOD SHED. YOUR A MISERABLE WOMAN WHO PROBABLY NEEDS TO GET SOME. BUT GOOD GOD WHO WOULD WANT YOU. I SURE HOPE YOU HAVE NO CHILDREN! YOUR A MISERABLE BULLY . JUST KNOW I WILL NEVER COME IN YOUR SALON! GET SOME THERAPY!

It doesn't surprise me to find all these negative reviews on here.
Last week I wanted to buy a perfume from Brownes & Co's online store that was listed for $100. Before making the purchase I emailed them a question regarding shipping. 3 days later I got a reply from the owner (!!!) that I could buy the item for $125 + shipping.
So they noticed I was interested in buying the item and upped the price with $25! I emailed them explaining this is bad business, no response. I decided to call them personally explaining this is bad business but they stand behind their decision to raise their listing price on the item. Completely ludicrous.
I own and run a brand consultancy firm and it shocks me to see companies like this one still haven't figured it out yet. People actually do read customer reviews and take their money elsewhere.
So my recommend to everybody - Don't give these thieves one penny. Not in their Lincoln Store, not in their Design District store and not via their online store.
People that run businesses like this shouldn't be in business at all.
no wonder they are moving west.....

is this still open? I guess the devil will not die.
the service is the worst ever, the products they sell are cheaper online, the customer service is nonexistent, the place is filthy....
do you really want to go there?
Horrible Service

The salon is plaqued with a constant turn around in managers resulting in a huge lack of customer service. I bought 2 manis/pedis through a promotion. When I called the salon to make my appt. I was told that I can only make my appt online. I went online and someone has yet to call me to confirm the time - very annoying!!!
The salon employs the worst hairdressers in Miami while charging high prices. The only service worth getting is a mani/pedi everything else is horrible!!!
