What People Are Saying About Mint Leaf Indian Brasserie
The Owner
Mint Leaf Indian Brasserie
Owner
True Indian cuisine presented in royal fashion can only be found at the newly opened Mint Leaf restaurant in Coral Gables. Owner Ranjit Sood, who owns and operates a number of restaurants in London, has developed a concept completely unique to South Florida. At Mint Leaf, the dishes are created to pamper guests with true exotic, traditional and authentic Indian specialties that focus around the Tandoor Oven which is used to prepare meats, bread, fish and vegetables sticking with the true cooking methods of Northern India. The diverse menu ranges from vegetarian appetizers like Tokri Chaat which is a crispy potato basket filled with vegetables, beans, yogurt and chutney to Mint Leaf Nawabi Khana which is an old Indian tradition. With an atmosphere dedicated to Bollywood and traditional art, Mint Leaf will not only be an educational experience, but a delicious one as well.

In Short
If the exotic artwork on the walls, golden accents or the menu in your hands doesn't tip you off to the Indian cuisine that's coming, maybe the Bollywood movie screenings on 2 televisions will do the trick. Much of the traditional lamb, chicken, seafood, vegetarian, and Basmati rice dishes are available, all sophisticatedly yet subtly spiced. The specialty is the variations on the Southern Indian dosa crepe, a fermented rice and lentil pancake offered with fillings like spicy chicken, masala lamb, or seasoned potatoes and onions. Although Indian food has been available in the Gables for decades, this eatery offers enough ritzy panache to attract area business professional by day and romance-angling couples by night.

the restaurant is nice, the servers were friendly but inexperienced and makes it harder for people going there for the first time. the food is average nothing out of this world, spicy, and it is expensive for the food that you get. overall i will never go there again.

I wish we hadn't spent our money at Mint Leaf! For the rude attitude they gave us and the non existent service we could have just gone somewhere else and spend our money! Plus they are so expensive! They charge for papadam and chutney too! It was horrible! I will NEVER go back to mint leaf! >=O

OMG! Some people on this review board have said that Mint Leaf is good or the best indian restaurant? Are you kidding me!!! They treated us like we were at some fast food joint! The food was delayed and then when it came it was horrible! My glass of Merlot never showed up and my friends beer came after a 15 min wait and his frosted glass was just wet, no frost! They were never around to give us service but once they gave us the bill, they all decided to hawk us down like volchers waiting for us to pay! We hadn't ever gotten up yet before the waiter began to clean our table and take our water glasses away! I will never go back to Mint Leaf! They are HORRIBLE! Dont Wast your Money PLEASE!
