Overpriced, OK food.
The food was mediocre. Crab enchiladas were pretty good. The chicken enchiladas tasted bad. Something was wrong with the chicken, not sure if it was undercooked or just plain bad. While eating, the AC ducts were dripping condensation on our food. Apparently this is a common problem for them because they have a guy running around with a broom with a rag over the bristles occasionally wiping down the ducts. The food isn't exactly cheap, so we were expecting better tasting food and a better eating environment.
As for the rest... They charge you $4 per person for the guacamole that they make for you at the table. That was pretty good atleast. We got free dessert because of the dripping water and it was good. I wish I knew what it was. The drinks from the bar were strong, so that's also a plus. There's quite a few places to eat around there, I'd go somewhere else next time I'm in the area.
If it's not Rosa then it must be Margarita at this colorful Mexican eatery with a healthy bar vibe..
In Short
The manned tortilla-making station in the dining room is there to let you know it's fresh. The towering water wall with ceramic figurines of Acapulco divers to let you know it's Mexican. Even if the concept is actually a New York export, the colorful decor will find you mowing down tacos, enchiladas or beefier entrees like skirt steak or grilled salmon between swigs of potent tequila and smooth margaritas.
