Tips for Rosa Mexicano Restaurant

The Un-Mexican restaurant. This applies to the Miami Beach Rosa Mexicano. Judjing from the ratings of the Miami Rosa, they are of the same breed.

The food quality is questionable for the prices. flavors are bland except for the amount of Jalapeno that is used to disguise the absence of authenticity.

Martguerita are nothing more than a mix and hardly 1/2oz of tequila. The rest is ice. At $8.75 it can only be called rippoffrita.

Worst Service Ever......... Upon being seating we ordered our food immediately as we were hoping to grab a quick bite and go back to our shopping. Looking around we saw that except a few other tables the outdoor area was relatively empty, as we waited and waited for our food we began to feel that we had been forgotten. Every time we actually managed to get our waitresses attention the only response we got is "a few more minutes"

Mind you my wife and I are pretty laid back, If you're gonna leave us there to rot, get us some chips or offer to refill our drinks, something, and we'll have no issues. But an hour and forty minutes to be served mexican on a monday evening? Really? After the food was unceremoniously placed at our table we never saw our waitress again. When we finally got her attention it then took another forty minutes to get the check .Horrible!!!

The only saving grace is the food was pretty damned good......but the service? To compare it to Taco Bell would be an insult. (to Taco Bell)

Bad service. The service was very rude and not accommodating. For a so called "upscale" place, the service was very disappointing. Compared to other places at the Brickell Village, it seems way out of its league.

Better service at Taco bell. I arrived at Rosa Mexicano with very high expectations, which were shot down within 15 seconds of arrival. At 6:00 the restaurant was virtually empty. The male hostess asked if I had reservations, to which I politely replied that I did not. He cut me off and said "I need you out of here by 7:30." I'd like to call attention to this action because I feel it was very rude and not characteristic of a restaurant that calls itself "upscale." I think an empty restaurant should attempt to accommodate guests or politely dismiss them based on availability. But, this haughty attitude was uncalled for and made their food taste way overpriced.

Worst customer service (even for Miami). The wait was supposed to be 20 min, after 45 I asked why couples arriving after me were being seated. The answer "they go before you". If there is a charge for seating why can't I participate?

BE AWARE, DOES FREE LUNCH EXIST?. If you are intelligent, try to avoid this place, food is good but they by all means try to DECEIVE you.

Lunch and Dinner portions are exactly the same, but for example the ?Enchiladas Suizas? will cost you at Lunch $11.75 and at Dinner they will cost you $16.75. At the beginning I and you can think that they are giving you a discount for the Lunch.

However, now that they are participating in the Miami Spice once again the DECEIVE their loyal clientele with a ridiculous Miami Spice Menu. I will give you the example in which they even overcharge you vs. the regular menu. According to them you can order your MS Dinner menu at $36 in which you can choose as part of the options in the appetizers the ?Guacamole? (one person $6), as choice of Entrees you can order the ?Arrachera de Camarones? ($20.50) and a choice of dessert ($6.95). As you can see, if you order from the regular Menu your Dinner will cost you $33.45 and they charge you $36 with the Miami Spice Menu. If you choose the most expensive dish of each menu section, ?Flautas de Pollo? ($9), ?Filete con Hongos? ($24.50) and Dessert ($6.95) you receive a $4.45 discount (12% discount) and this is your best saving. You have a similar situation with the Lunch.

WHAT WE SHOULD THINK ABOUT ROSA MEXICANO? WHAT THEY ARE TRYING TO SAY, THAT PEOPLE DON?T THINK AND ARE ?.?

WHAT DO YOU THINK AS A ROSA MEXICANO CLIENT?

Best Mexican in Miami. I finally visited Rosa Mexicano last week and it was truly like no Mexican I had ever had before. Rosa is definitely not tex-mex! The guacamole prepared table side was incredible. Even my boyfriend who does like avocados had a few bites. We sipped on delish pomegranate margaritas and enjoyed the atmosphere. I was impressed with service and knowledge of the food. I was worried the food would be too spicy, but our waiter really knew about the ingredients and the spiciness of each dish. All tortillas were hand made and reminded me of when my grandmother would make tortillas in my house growing up. Rosa presents a new take on Mexican. I will definitely be heading back for more, but definitely not without a reservation! The place was packed!

BEST MEXICAN THATS NOT IN MEXICO!!. I grew up in Texas where Mexican food is definitely not scarce, and I'd have to say the best, until I ate Rosa Mexicano. I was lucky enough to hear about Rosa Mexicano through a friend, and since dining there once...I am a regular. Rosa Mexicano has the most delicious and authentic Mexican Cuisine. Growing up in Texas I have had my fair share of authentic Mexican food, but Rosa really gives new meaning to fresh and authentic. Everyone raves of their Guacamole (which once you have it you will know why), but one of my favorite dishes is their Conchinita Pibil (pork shoulder). It is jam packed with flavor, and is so tender it nearly melts in your mouth. I could go on and on about all of their dishes, but you have to go and try for yourself! You are seriously missing out on the best Mexican food I have had in years if you don't. Oh and great service!

Good food but better get a reservation!. 1st time there. My wife & I got there at about 8:30 & they told us that there was 1 1/2 hours wait. We decided to wait & it actually ended up being 2 hours. I don't like guaco so we ordered the chips w/ the house made pico de gallo. It was the best I have tasted. I ordered a patron margarita which was very good since they put in good amounts of alcohol. Service was real good, food was great. Desert was so so. Atmosphere is real nice, good music. Looks more expensive than what it really is. Nice location. It is entertaining to see them make the guaco at the table even if you don't order it, look at the other tables. Again, better make a reservation well in advance because they fill up pretty quick. I am waiting to go very soon.

Worst place. I HATE this place! I used to consider this place one of my favorite restuarants until two days ago.I ate the pollo asado and the mushroom quesadilla. My stomach was so bloated.I threw up 6 times within 10 min and I have been sick since. The black beans were old and I ended up going to the doctor!I I will never recommend this place where they serve bad beans!Good Luck to any of you who eat there.I basically paid to get sick.
