Electron Solar is a ripoff!!. We experienced the same exact thing, but we "only" put up $5000. That was in July 2011. Not a thing was ever done by them, except taking our money. We filed complaints in every possible venue. DBPR is pursuing formal charges, as are the state attorney's office. They may be working under a new name. The principal's name is Christopher Quinn, & the salesperson is Kevin Kohler.

They will cone you! Be aware.
I didn't get across the first review here - my absolute bad! I've contracted them for a very large solar installation on a residential house. They were all nice and very responsive before the downpayment.
After they took the very hefty downpayment, the company and its owner Chris Quinn went MIA. They don't respond to phone calls, emails, BBB or attorney demands. Half a year later, the project is not even started.
Do your research! They are not licensed, but work under Alfonso Electric contractor's license, who will soon have complaints listed on their DBPR profile. They have an F from BBB. They pride on being the only solar publicly traded company in Florida - their stock is almost at $0, they don't file any reports and are labeled as crooks by most reviewers on their company performance!
Be aware and do your research - don't entrust your money or your property to Electron Solar Energy nor to Chris Quinn.

Glad I went Solar. I went solar to help offset my energy bill for my electric car purchase later this year - the guys at Electron Solar were a pleasure to work with.
