Tips for Katana Restaurant

Katana a very unfriendly family restaurant. Katana a very unfriendly family restaurant, food not bad, I use to frequent on a monthly basis the spot.

Today I went with my family to get bite to eat before going home and while sitting having dinner the manager calls my wife to have a word with her and tells her that we are not allowed to bring outside food to feed our 3 year old child who as u can imagine does no eats sushi. Insulting to me telling me that he will allow us this time but not to do it again, how rude can one be, not taking in account the lost of sales to his business, if hes going to allow this one time he should have waited till we finish our meal to mention it, that is only good business ethics.

As u can imagine we pay and left the restaurant right away... needless to say we are not planning to go back and for the money you do spend there u can dine at any other local sushi bar with a much better experience.

Awesome!. I have been going to katana's for approximately 12 years. The sushi is amazing. The pricing is very reasonable. If you do not see something you want, all you have to do is ask for it and they bring it to you pretty quickly. On the downside, they have certain times where the wait is a bit long but in my opinion, completely worth it. :-D

Bad experience. Thought this would be a great place as so many people were waiting to be seated. The sushi is circulated on a little "moat" and you choose what appeals to you. It turned out to be a big disappointment. The selection of sushi was limited - most of the dishes passing by were variations of the same - some type of fake crab salad (either on its own or rolled). The sushi did not taste good, the tuna was rubbery and the squid sashimi was utterly revolting - I would have spat it out if I was not in company with others. My stomach was churning all that night.
