Canned pasta would be better.
The $18 chef's special pasta with clams was so soft it was falling apart, was dripping with butter and had only 6 baby clams. The owner said we should have ordered it al dente and replaced it with uncooked pasta. I have had problems with entrees at Anise before, but thought I was safe with the “chef’s special”.
The service is a little slow, but you are in Miami. The owners are very pleasant.
The appetizers are good, but pricey, $10 slice of eggplant with feta. The wine is good and reasonable. The pita and humus is good. The atmosphere is nice as you look out over the drainage canal it has a Mediterranean feel. Anise is a good place to go for appetizers and drinks, but stay away from the main courses.
Chic Greek by the Creek. A piece of the Greek Islands in the heart of Miami's urban jungle.
