Worth driving 30 miles each way, and then some. It is a cliche, men or women who go on and on about how difficult it was to find a salon and stylist who understood their hair, and had the skills to give them great cuts/color/style. And it is true. Every time I have moved I have gone through some version of hair stylist purgatory, sometimes worse, until I eventually found stylist heaven.

Gustavo Briand is heaven to me. So when I moved this time, from downtown MIA to the suburbs I decided it is worth driving 30 miles each way to get my hair cut. And I am not alone, on a recent day I run into a female customer who had endured 2+ hrs of peak season traffic to get to GB from Fort Lauderdale.

The salon's location is great. Easy access from all directions on South Beach. Parking is easy and the space around it is open and airy owing to the park and bay across the street. But what's better yet, the entire team is warm, professional and friendly, from owner Gustavo, stylists Christian, Patricia, to Dragana at the front desk.

I finally found my salon!. I've been growing my hair out and donating it for years. I hadn't yet found a place that could deal with cutting my hair well when it is short, until now. Gustavo cut my hair and it has never looked so awesome. I asked for something that took little maintenance but still looked good and I got it. I just have blow my hair dry and it looks so similar as when I walked out of the salon (Shocking). Everyone was so sweet and I didn't have to wait at all for my appointment. To the ridiculous comment below..... Honestly I have been going to cristian for 3 years for color, cut, and blow-dry and not ONCE has anything you are claiming happen to me. I'm assuming your hair was already damaged and now your just looking to blame someone, which feels ridiculous. I wouldn't stand up for just anyone, but I will for him bc he is hands down the best at what he does. Maybe you should give him another chance, or just accept that your hair is damaged. For Patricia I have seen her do some of the most stunning cuts I have seen .... So not sure where u are coming from so get a life and stop putting some of the best in the business down…
