Beware, CAUTION !!.
A family member and I spent one week at this hotel. We rented two rooms which had been prepaid through an Internet booking site.
I had no extras at all, so that I left the hotel after getting an invoice with a zero balance. My relative paid his extras with his credit card and got the corresponding invoice.
Surprisingly enough, a few days later, his banking card was debited an extra US$ 389.01 ! This did not correspond to any spending in this hotel. It was finally credited back after multiple mails and some 3 weeks later …
More surprisingly even, I discovered 4 weeks later that the credit card I had given for imprint (different from the one used for prepayment) for possible extras and which was not supposed to be used (no extras) had also been debited of US$ 259.34. Since this was the second "bad experience", the bank card was credited back relatively rapidly (nevertheless, after multiple e-mails again).
However, living outside the US, bank charges for change / debit / credit were far from negligible. Holiday Inn simply refused to reimburse these charges although the error was clearly not mine. I insisted, and was finally reimbursed a symbolic US$10 !
Statistics are highly unfavourable : two guests out of two (100%) have had the same "misadventure" …
You better carefully watch your bank statement after staying at this location !!

For more than 50 years, this hotel's familiar green sign has signaled budget-friendly lodging for families and business travelers..
In Short
Since its 1952 debut in Memphis, Tenn., Holiday Inn has become one of the most recognized hotel brands in the world. Kids rule here: Children age 19 and younger stay for free when sharing a parent's room and as many as four children per family (age 12 or younger) eat for free at hotel restaurants. Other amenities include 24-hour business services, an in-room coffeemaker, iron, hair dryer, room service, a swimming pool and a fitness center.

BEWARE! Vehicle Theft and Break Ins.
My recent stay in early August of 2008 was interesting to say the least. My Ford F250 King Ranch was stolen out of the hotel parking lot. Upon reporting it to the police, I learned that this hotel has been having a rash of break ins. (this from the Coral Gables Police Dept Vehicle Theft Unit) I was able to recover my truck two weeks later, but the hotel was not interested in paying for the $650.00 of items that were taken out of the truck. They used to have a security camera in the parking lot but removed it "beacuse it gace a false sense of security" according to Marco, the htoel General Manager. They do have a security guard that is supposed to come on at 9:00PM but he is also responsible for the inside of the hotel as well.
I would not recommend this hotel at this time, and the owners will not provide the necessaty security and accountablility.
Try the Hampton Inn Dadeland of the Marriott Dadeland instead if looking in this area to stay.
