Jazz???????

Food's okay and the service was fine. The argument management had the night i went with one of the customers not only made me feel at home, but was a classy cap to the whole experience. (that last statement was sarcastic) the worst part of the whole thing was the music. They bill live jazz on some nights so i thought...lets just see about that...it was cocktail music all night. if you were sitting by the gift shop you couldn't even hear the drummer. I once lived in a city with a vibrant jazz scene and this is not it. i went there that night to hear jazz not back ground stuff. the tune selection was good and the players in the band where great, but not the night of exciting jazz i anticipated.
- Pros: nice wait staff.
- Cons: don't bill jazz unless you mean it.
Horrible Service!

The food was okay, but the service was the WORST I've ever experienced at a restaurant! First we waited over 30 minutes for our order to be taken. When the wine arrived, they opened the wrong bottle. Instead of apologizing, the waitress said "why don't you just try this one to see if you like it?" We didn't. Then we waited over an hour for our food to be brought to the table. When it came the waitress said "we had a miscommunication and this isn't what you ordered but let me explain what's on the plate." No apology, no pause. When we informed her that two people at our table we allergic to the food, she suggested we eat around it! Outrageous! The final straw was that when we expressed our disatisfaction to the manager at the end of the meal, she gave us an attitude and raised her voice at us. We'll never go back!
- Cons: service

I went with a group of friends the service was good but I was not feeling the food it was not what I thought. Good place for a group, friends and I shared a sampler platter. It was just ok.
Great food, great atmosphere.

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful establishment last week. For a Thursday night, it was quite crowded and that was my first hint that something good was going on there. I was not disappointed, the food was excellent, their "mix and match platter" of lamb, chicken, fish and beef along with a variety of sides, was just right for the three of us in my party. The sounds of La Veda's singing complemented the wonderful atmosphere. When the waitress didn't write anything down, we were a little worried, convinced that something would be left out, but our order arrived and it was perfect. I ordered a glass of a South African Merlot which went down smooth and was great with my meal.
Sheba bills itself as the only Ethiopian restaurant in Miami, they can hold that spot for a long time if they keep doing what they're doing.
Anyone who loves great food and has an adventurous palate should definitely go to Sheba's.
- Cons: Metered parking is expensive, but that's Miami's Design District
