In Short – Everything you've heard about the lavish 25,000 square foot eatery is true. From the icicle chandelier sculpted by Dale Chihuly to the waterfalls and reflecting pool by the entrance, water and glass play major thematic elements in setting the fluid mood. Pre-theater crowds arrive early and the club hoppers show up late to feast on exotic "alta cocina" eats like octopus carpaccio and oxtail lasagna, and assorted tapas that pack big flavor into small portions.
Super Cool Club...but beware...

Awesome place but beware of the drinks. Ordered 3 drinks. 1 Melon Vodka and soda & 2 RedBull Vodkas for $45.00. All of us agreed we got probably a thimbles worth of vodka. So..we never ordered anymore drinks that night. My advice to bartenders to pour a thimble worth of booze in a drink, you are only screwing yourself. We were all going to buy rounds and instead we only bought 1 round because of the little to no alcohol in the drinks. Please....dont jip people. In the end, it is you who loses out.
- Pros: Awesome Space
- Cons: Overpriced drinks with no booze
The best club and food in Miami

The first thing is this. Karu has new owners and chef. To be fair to them you must disregard any reviews before December 2008. The new owners took over and revamped the whole place from top to bottom. Including decor and staff. The place is out of control! You can basically go to five different clubs or lounges in one night without leaving. The place is huge with indoor and very tropical outdoor areas. One area has cabanas with a stream running in front of them from a reflecting pool. You cross little bridges to get to them. There are waterfalls and waterwalls all over the place. Very relaxing. The staff is great too. The bartenders are very accommodating and helpful. The security staff is a big presence there so you feel comfortable but they are not in the way. You can?t just walk through the door but at the same time, they realize how the economy is and are a little more lenient these days. They still do a great job of keeping the place packed with beautiful people and keeping the rift raft out. Now the food. One word describes the food. Ridiculous! Yes in a good way. The new chef is just amazing. There are 3 different menus. There is something for every one. If you want an incredible sit down dinner, you got it. If you want some kicked up bar food, you will be more than satisfied or if you just want a snack, you can have that too. They serve food all night long. I think until 3 or 4 am. I recommend the Kobe Beef burgers and the Lobster Corn Dogs. Yes, it is true it isn?t in the best area. However, the owners have worked out a deal with the Miami Police to beef up patrol of the area. They have valet or a good option is a cab. I took a cab from SoBe. It was $15 each way with tip. Valet is $20. For $10 more, you can take a cab from just about anywhere in SoBe. Venture downtown and check the place out. You won?t be disappointed.
Great atmosphere

This is one of Miami's best nightclubs. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The people who come here are decent and well dressed for the most part. There are 4 rooms, one being mostly hip-hop, the terrace being house, and 2 other rooms inside with mixed music. VIP is great. We had our runner come check on us frequently and always kept our mixers topped off. Its a great place to meet people. The crowd is mostly young between 21-28 so it get lively in here. You must check this place out. And make sure you park your car valet. At $20 its cheap and your car is safe as well as you will be when you exit the club; the neighborhood is not the best. The drinks are a bit on the expensive side but well worth it. Bottles start at around $250. If you order single drinks from the bar, you can get a glass of Moet for $14, or say a single Grey goose and cranberry for about $16. Make sure you arrive early if you aren't VIP because they keep the flow of people coming in controlled and your probably going to wait a god 30-60 minutes if you arrive after 12:00.
- Pros: Service, atmosphere, drinks
- Cons: expensive
