Nice Ambiance, Good Service, So-so Food
by PianoPlyr at Citysearch
Nice little place, pleasant ambiance, mediocre food, good service. The salad was pretty dissappointing - finely chopped iceberg lettuce, onion and tomato. We had fried fish sticks for an appetizer (I forgot exactly what they called them on the menu), they were pretty similar to Mrs. Paul's. For the entre we had the mixed seafood/meat plank. The pork chop was the highlight, it was very good. I can't comment on the
blood-sausage as I don't know what it's supposed to taste like, but personally I didn't like it. The fish was old - definitely not fresh, and the shrimp was not edible at all. The wine list was a little short for a place that has 'Wines" in the name of the restaurant, but we got a decent bottle of crianza for about $22, which I thought was a very fair price. We had rice pudding for dessert, it was very good. The waiter was attentive, overall the service was good, but I can't really recommend this place, for the money, I expect a higher quality of food.
- Pros: Ambiance, Service
- Cons: Food
