One of the best Mexican restaurants in Miami. The drive from Miami to La Pasadita is highly recommended to anyone wanting to taste a as good as it gets without having to go to Mexico to taste the real thing .

Food Is substantial ,and prices are fairly reasonable , expect to pay anyware from 7 dollars to 10 dollars per person for authentic Mexican food , and the servings are huge for a price , a torta (Mexican meat sandwich) cots around 6 bucks and it is easely 1/4 pound of meat with the sandwich weighting about half a pound .

Taste wise I can tell you being a native from Mexico City that this is some of the best Mexican food I have tasted since I came over over 15 years ago , they have some of the best salsa (hand made hot sauce) I have tasted , and dishes go from rice beans and your choice of entree to shrimp coctails and tacos , you won't have to worry about not finding something you don't like , granted you like Mexican food .

For people that have never tried real Mexican food just stick to the steak tacos or the steak or chicken dishes , even the meat sandwitch is great , just don't come here expecting to find chalupas and hard crunchy tacos , this is not Tex mex , this is south centro Mexican food .

Another good point is the cleaness of the place , the food gets cooked right in front of you and I have never seen an insect or else in there after frequenting the place for 2 years .

The place is Cuban owned but all the cooks are Mexican and the Service is excelent and courtious .

My only complaint is that the space is very limited it has a total of 6 tables and the whole place sits maybe 15 people comfortably the restaurant is comberted from a farm store so it actualy has a drive trough , the place feels a lot like a taco shop in Mexico so it's tight , and yes it's all roofed and air conditioned , just small.

I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try the real deal without having to fly south of the border , just visit on the week , as the weekend it is packed with regulars.
