Great location, but not the service.. Hi there! I've been staying here since 2003 and witnessed their gradual decline. While back they used to be part of Crowne Plaza Resort and I would have rated them one of the best.

Pro's: Location and price. They have excellent access to the beach and steps away from Ocean drive, Lincoln Rd Mall.

Con's: Dirty carpet in hallway and rooms: you can see bleach stains where they tried to get rid off wine/coffee/ketchup stains. No mini fridges in rooms. Last time I stayed (Nov 2007) they had construction work done from 10pm to 4am two floors above me. Help desk was of no help. They put me in tiny queen bed room/no ocean view, when originally I booked king/ocean view. After long wait I got my room, but it had funky smell in one of the corners. Bed sheets once weren't changed - I had to call room service. Ice machines don't work on all floors.

OK, you've been warned ;-) This is like a lottery - gamble and you might win.

Royal Palm Resort Dish. Upon arriving the greetings were less than mediocre. Booked this hotel off Expedia after a location snaffu with our other hotel. Totally our fault. Was happy to get the booking and Expedia had it written up as a 4 Star Hotel. Hardly. We got a rate that was exceptable but upon check in noticed there was a $20.00 charge per room per day on top of your rate. The charge covers use of pool, lounge chairs, coffee, paper and internet service. I questioned him and the gentleman said this rate is usual at most Miami hotels. A remark was made by a departing guest, "Welcome to Miami", and mentioned he was not pleased with his stay either. Rooms were large, had a great view but the pictures online look nothing like the hotel we stayed in. We had to call the maid in to clean our room better. Also noticed when we checked in, their were people sleeping in the lounge area pass check in and were still there 4 hours later???? To top this off, this is our first day here. Wish us luck with the rest of our stay.....

Worst Hotel Ever!. From the day my boyfriend and I checked in it was horrible. The staff was unfriendly and rude. There was construction going on in the room above us and they were drilling during the early evening. We called the front desk to ask them to stop and they didn't stop for half an hour. Once we called the front desk to ask them a question and no one picked up. The service there is just horrible! The rooms were disgusting and definitely needs renovation. The only thing I liked about the hotel was the pool area although it was small. I will never ever come back to this hotel.
