It's hotel standards by day and haute cuisine by night at this Sunny Isles beachfront eatery..
In Short
The ritzy yet accessible poolside restaurant on the second floor of Trump's Sonesta resort starts out the day like most hotel kitchens. Standards include custom-ordered omelets and Challah French toast for breakfast, followed by lunchtime classics such as club sandwiches, burgers, and thin-crust pizzas. Then the ironed tablecloths come out for dinner, where visiting foodies rub elbows with overnight guests to dig into starters like fois gras and truffle macaroni & cheese before moving on to heartier entrees like lamb chops, sea bass, and buttered lobster. It's fine dining just paces from the Atlantic shoreline, but it never lasts. The sun sets and rises again, and room 1814 is hungry for chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes again.
